there was this one glitch where in the beginning you could unlock a random type of kuruma. pretty weird. it must be free mode to get it. here's how: start up the game, play for a while(running over peds,crashing, or any thing) and then quit. check your cars and you'll get it.

Ive got a copy of this game on PS2, antique huh i got it in a 3 game package 4 years ago and its still in proper working conditon so lol. Oh by the way theres might be a glitch of a purple light ring in new york. If anyone knows what this glitch is please tell me.

It's not a glitch. Apparently if you drive through the purple light you get yourself a car. I think the one in New York gets you a revamped version of the New York taxi. There are purple lights in both cities that can earn you cars if you drive through them.

@mauricio1196 you have to first beat the world champ in 3 races in waypoint mode in arcade, then you'll be able to use the Zender Beta in arcade mode but not career. not sure how to get it in career sorry.

the acctual techno in this game was awesoem, it woul seem like the same song but if you quit out of the take a drive or w/e its called mode and go back in it would change and be very awesoem, this game is fun, you get a taxi with a plow on the front, and causingg traffic jams was fun good times,
