  • Someone who watched the movie told me this music is better than the entire movie. wow, that's saying something.

  • Il me surprendra toujours ! Mais OMFG :)

  • It is the music that makes the whole movie worth watching it.

  • It's just Genius. Genius with a capital letter.

  • Every Soundtrack recording was created by a TEAM of people... Matt probably gets most of the credit because he must have done most of the work. People don't need to get upset over something that is a norm in the business.. trust me.

  • @TheTayloroosting Matt gets most of the credit because he's the most famous. He isn't getting credit from anyone who worked on the movie or the soundtrack, and not anyone who knows much about the work either. He's getting praise from fans who just assume that Matt wrote most of it..

  • Very few understand the true meaning of this film.

  • @KorrupteSau how true...especially the scene when the politician explains about control and debt!!! Its already happening in this world....

  • I showed this to a nine-year-old I know. She said it was "okay", but it was just a bunch of sounds.

    She was my sister.

    Was.

  • @WolfLuvr6131 When I was 8 years old, all I knew was a world of Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears. My brother played Knights of Cydonia for me. I didn't understand it. My brain was too small to comprehend it. I wandered another year, listlessly, through the world, until I heard New Born. I fell in love. I fell hard.

Muse became my favorite band ever since then, and I have lived happily until the age of 14 with their music guiding me. There is still hope for her... don't give up yet!

  • Matttt!!!! I LOVE YOU. i REALLY LOVE THIS INSTRUMENT!! YOU HAVE TO KNOW THAT.

  • Oohhh gosssshhhh!!! so i've finally known that this instrument is composed by Matt!!

May i know what is the official title of this instrument?

  • i don't believe he did anything on this....

Johnny Klimer & Reinhold Heil & Tom Tykwer did it...

If you know their work you would have no doubts that this is them...

  • @datisookzo Why would you would not want to believe that's he did anything on this? The credits listed him as one of the composers and wikipedia stated the same thing. He's not as good as the composers you listed to compose a song like this? Is that what you mean?

  • @wanrazif11 Ok let me put it differently...

I think he helped....but to put his picture up there and everybody telling he wrote the score is just unfair... I love Muse and i believe he did his part, but i bought the whole soundtrack, and i know the main composers too well to know they did most of this soundtrack.. i over reacted a bit.... shit happens :)

  • @datisookzo Yeah, I think half of the viewers didn't know that he's not the only one who composed this song. I think the purpose of this video is to tell Muse fans that he's one of the composer for this soundtrack but the uploader should credits the other composers too.

  • I know he didn't do all of this, but Matt Bellamy I fucking love you.

  • defs sounds like his work

  • matthew bellamy :)

  • Omg this is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is "Meeting Schumer" composed by Tom Tykwer

  • Writing a philosophy paper never felt so epic.

  • 3rd time on repeat. God i love this.

  • Hmm, reminds a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitlle about Exogenesis! But not much xD

  • i can clearly hear kind of UFO sound here xD

  • even though i'm not a religious man, this is the soundtrack of heaven for me.

  • good film, genius soundtrack

  • I saw the Film and i thought "what awesome Soundtrack". then i become a Muse fan xD... AND THEN I REALISED that this is from Matthew :-)

  • Not as good as Exogenesis but still nice piece of muse-ic

  • I feel like this piece has shattered my mind into tiny pieces that will never fully be re-assembled... except with more Muse

  • I dunno - something about this reminds me of CoD4

  • I cannot explain how jealous I am of Bellamy's utter talent and musical capability.

This track proves for the thousandth time how ridiculously mind-bending Bellamy's music can be.. *Sigh*

  • when jeramy clarcson (top gear) talk about A.Senna`s F1 mclaren this was the song i respect this song and that movie about sennas

  • @hardrekk

Any chance you can point me to which episode that was?

  • Never heard of the film, just came here through wikipedia(ing) matt bellamy :P

  • @puredruid same here

  • @puredruid should watch the movie its epic! if u have interest in politics and scams!

  • @mohit1224 Sounds like something Matt is into, I can see why he wrote a piece for the movie :p

  • wenn der mann so liebe macht, wie er musik macht dann... muss sich seine frau wie im himmel fühlen. WOW!

  • this is amazing.

  • distinctly average..

  • gave me goosbumps....

Matt Bellamy is the true musical enigma of our generation

  • @PandaPee123 it gave me tears. and goosebumps on my brain.

  • I remember when the new Muse album came out, this song was spammed as one of the song on the album.

Turned out it was one of the best mistakes I ever made.

  • Oh my bellamy!! I'm totally fainting when I listen it!! It's unbelievable! It's supernatural!. Matthew Bellamy is MORE than a god, more than a genius,he's Ohhh I can't describe,he's so much!!! Wonderful!!

  • @KimdraElliottVoelkel: Sooo TRUE!!!!

  • i watched that movie just because of this soundtrack.

  • @MicroStarlight exaggerator..

  • @Tatar1992 im not :D

  • @MicroStarlight I watched the movie, and it was awesome, then I found out about Muse and this song which was even more awesome:P

  • FCKING AWSOME!!!!! i knew that 1 year ago :D

  • This is so dank

  • I'd watch this movie just to hear Matt Bellamy DO WORK!! He's a goddess

  • He is a genius!!!!!

  • @diekontrolleure you just got PWNED by @ILoveJuliana100

  • That's a lie, nothing indicates that Matthew Bellamy is the composer. You've invented

  • @cesarsiemens see the musewiki

  • This soundtrack music (well, at least the piano) has Matt Bellamy written all over it .

Kind of inspires me to play more piano :)

  • !! This is fantastic! Mathew is a very talented man. He inspires me soo much!! Their music is great. His guitar/piano skills are awesome! His voice is the best! MUSE ROCKS!!

  • @diekontrolleure no, bitch.

  • @thecitizenme YES YOU STUPD FUCKER

  • @diekontrolleure yeah, at least i know how to spell 'stupid'...stupid!

  • @thecitizenme ILL FOOK YOU UP YOU FUCKIN CUNT!!!!!!!!

  • @diekontrolleure fail TROLL...-..-

  • @thecitizenme SUCCESS TROLL!!!!!!!!!

  • @diekontrolleure ... Hey liten "little whore" if you think MUSE sucks then why are you watching their videos in the first place??..

  • @ILoveJuliana100

This isnt muse. It even says in the description that this wasnt recorded as a band, bellamy did it by himself.

    Get your facts right.

  • @framedinblood02 Actually he did it with a bunch of other people.

  • I can hear some Rachmaninoff influences in there; prelude no. 12 in G# minor to be exact. ;D

  • I'm.. I mean.. this is.. so beautiful and.. just.. wow

  • exogenis?

  • This is beautiful, simply beautiful

  • 2:08 = Intoxication by sound. Bellamy Rocks.

  • @diekontrolleure Dont watch muse videos then, and piss off you troll

  • I like it :)

  • however.....muse is an incredible band and mathew bellamy a genius!!!

  • Matt is a Fabulous Musician , Singer and Composer . he is an complet Artist . Muse Rules !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yea, i love this but i think people are forgetting Matt only composed PART of it:L

Und because of thes i might actually take someones advice and become a composer?:L

    Muse<3

  • Matthew Bellamy needs to compose more sings like this.

  • And here we have proof that a lot of Muse fans will literally try to hump anything involving Matt, even if it's a standard, well-made soundtrack piece. I thnk that's kind of evidence that a few people should maybe try getting into other bands, instead of embarrassing the SANE muse fans by going on about how Muse pwn all other music and are unlike anything else EVAR!!1, the only thing more irritating are the commenter who only ever say how Matt is "OMG SO HOTTT <3"

  • @Misishaxi but muse do pwn all other modern bands misishaxi

  • @PeaceEpieces That's a fantastic way of looking at it, isn't it? kind of devalues not only other excellent bands, the amount of work Muse do, to heap a shitload of positive and non-constructive praise onto them and declare them objectively "better" than other bands without comparing, criticizing and discussing other music or even sometimes ignoring it. This is what Muselvie has come to - people who know very little about other bands or even looki into the influences and just say "OMG MUSE GREAT"

  • @Misishaxi i have a feeling you take yourself to seriously

  • @Misishaxi you made quite a few assumptions about me. and my knowledge of music. based off of a playful comment? hm.

  • @Misishaxi .........your comments are pointless. I'm sorry but why muse fans keep saying its the best and all is because they love the band. Let them listen to what they want to without making a stupid comment about it. Here is proof of Misishaxi has nothing better to do but work hard on comments making him/her sound smart.

  • @iluvitbitch I'm letting them listen to what they want, why are you trying to insult me? I just feel people should really explore and criticise the band constructively. Even if you love EVERYTHING by them, if you compare them to other bands and think critically about the music and why you like it, the artist gets what they want. What an artist does NOT want is mindless love. Love, sure, but they want the work to be thought about. And can we please all remember, Muse are only SUBJECTIVELY good?

  • @Misishaxi I'm in total agreement with you! Now I have to say, Muse is my all time favorite band but I do agree that some people may have an over obsession with this band. I know I was there, but I did explore other bands such as Radiohead and Rage Against Machine. I know they're similar but I love this kinda "genre" of music. I do agree with you that people should listen to other bands. But I must say, Muse is, in my opinion, one of the greatest bands I've heard in a long time.

  • @TimothyMFox It's not even that, it's like, some people just think that saying "MUSE ZOMG BETTER THAN EVERY OTHER BAND AND THAT IS COLD HARD FACT". But if try telling some fans of something that it's JUST A BAND then they don't believe you. Muse are an incredible band in my eyes but I was only able to appreciate how much I enjoyed them and their sound after looking at a lot of other bands and comparing, criticising and listening. It's the same with any band or artist, mindless praise = not good.

  • @Misishaxi I don't see why you even needed to make a comment about it. People like Muse and say its the best band. But you can't just say they are being mindless idiots and not listening to other bands and that. The REAL mindless people are the ones listening to the top songs on itunes like Barba Streisand and Bieber. My favorite band is Muse but I know ALOT of bands like Radiohead, The Smiths and so on. I've compared and I'm "Subjectively" in love with Muse!

  • @iluvitbitch Stupid comment. Why the fuck do you act like Barbara Streisand and Beiber are factually "worse" than Muse? there is literally no definition of what "good" music is, and just because you really like Muse you seem to think that you must therefore have a right to dismiss them and decry ANOTHER group of people as mindless idiots, pretty hypocritical, no? Even if you and a lot of people hate Beiber and Streisand, a lot of people hate Muse too. They're just as correct as you are.

  • @Misishaxi word

  • @Misishaxi But your still as confusing. What is your point? Thats what I'm trying to ask. You're calling everyone a fucking dumbass but you are the mindless idiot who wastes his/her time writing nonsense on the computer. You must be a fat loser with no friends. A mindless praise? How would that work? They would like it for a reason anyway.

  • Comment removed

  • @iluvitbitch "You're calling everyone a fucking dumbass" No, I'm saying that people shouldn't espouse their views as cold hard fact that is somehow more "correct" than the views of someone else. Something which you did, dismissing an entire group of people on the basis of their tastes. I'm not mindless, I'm trying to make a point I've thought about quite a lot to the best of my ability, and I'm sorry if I'm not making myself clear.

  • @Misishaxi You fucking comment on every fucking video cant you just shut up and enjoy the entertainment? I cant be fucked anymore, go ahead do whatever. And I apologise for whatever that maybe offensive. BYE!

  • @Misishaxi To say that musical excellence is completely subjective utterly devalues the years of hard work and intense creative effort that serious musicians commit to their craft; it implies that what they have accomplished is on the same level as any "instant pop star" pumping out a completely unoriginal, musically uninteresting song in 5 minutes that becomes mega popular by taking advantage of the contemporary youth's mental and emotional immaturity and desire to be a part of something.

  • @Ndaren101 I would argue that the motivation and work behind it pales in comparison to what the listener actually feels about it. I love looking at what goes into the music I love, but in the end, it doesn't matter as far as opinions of it are concerned. Musical excellence is not achieved through hard work, in my opinion. I would say that it only exists in the heads of people who love the music. You might dislike, "fight for this love" and I would agree, but many people genuinely love it.

  • @Misishaxi The issue here is that great music can only be created through effort and creativity. As I mentioned, a lot of current songs are popular for reasons other than musical excellence/originality and will consequently be forgotten. Take a look at the comments on the Vevo video for "Fight For This Love" - they're mostly about how hot the singer is. But on, say, a Rush video (or this video!) you'll find people actually talking about the music.

  • @Ndaren101 Hold on - what's YOUR definition of musical excellence/originality?

  • @Misishaxi V.S. Ramachandran has composed an excellent statement of the precise definition of excellence in any type of art. I can't seem to find it anywhere on the web but he basically said that good art must possess at least some of the following properties: novelty of style, originality of concept/idea(s), technical excellence, and relevance (meaning it deals with important and more or less universal social, or political, or metaphysical, ... etc. issues). ...(contd.)

  • @Misishaxi He also included emotional appeal but that's kind of subjective so I'm not sure how one might deal with that.

I think this type of excellence is what has caused certain music from the 60's, 70's, 80's and much longer ago (classical music) to be remembered while other music that may have been popular at the time has been forgotten, at least by most. Although popular taste does introduce some bias into that sorting process because of the "emotional appeal" variable.

  • @Ndaren101 This is Misishaxi on a new account btw.

You know I think we'll probably never reach a consensus, due to wildly differing opinions. All I know is that I now need to find a snappy way to summarise MY definition of art...

Maybe I would define art as something that touches an inexplicable part of us that makes us human - something that CAN utilise reason or emotion but makes contact with a part of us that is not quite either, in that yawning gulf that we have no words for. Unhelpful? XD

  • @Ndaren101 I think this comes down to me being crap at expressing this view or a difference in meanings behind our terms, but cheers for actually disagreeing with me reasonably. It's rare on youtube.

  • @Misishaxi Haha, it is indeed very difficult to have an argument on youtube without being called Hitler or a cumdump or some variation thereof. I am reciprocally grateful to you.

  • This is the best soundtrack to a film ever!!!! :)

  • this is just heavenly! just adore!

  • Muse What Really Matters!

    MUSE IS PURE CRAETION!

  • @uruuruis Yes, Muse is Craetion!

  • whoever doesn't believe that Matt is a living God, you're mistaken.

  • @SenoraFabregas Hes not just ANY GOD, Hes Matthew Bellamy, Destroyer of planets Deflowerer of Virgins,Master of the heart shattering Falsetto and Muse fans master

  • This is fucking incredible.

    Matt is a genius!

  • @Jt0tz It's good but incredible? Hyperbolic are we? It's sounds like standard turn of the century soundtrack fair, it's done competently and is very appealing but hardly incredible. To me being incredible denotes something of an iconic quality which this surely does not possess.

  • @FromtheLandofGorch Well, that is your opinion.

I think Matt worked very hard on this and, personally, I think this is incredible. But, hey, aren't we all entitled to an opinion?

  • I hate the part at 9:13..
