the romanian psl's are no longer inported into the u.s.,,,,,no one has them in stock..last guy i heard of selling them he had 2 in stock and were selling them for 1250$ a piece!! if you want one now you will have to go to centerfire systems, buy a kit, then go to tennessee guns to order an fpk (psl) receiver through an ffl dealer , and have someone rivet the kit together for you....
@koiter20 I have never personally handled an M76 but I have heard good things about them. With the prices of PSLs on the rise and the prices of the M76 going down(I think its a $100 or $200 difference between them now) I would go with the M76. I personally don't think the PSL is worth the $800+ they are going for now.
got my psl at a gun show, paid $800, dont care about cost, great rifle, my scope works fine, will occasionally not eject cartridge all the way. no other problems
in soviet Russia, sniper rifle shoots you! we don't care about 1 shot 1 kill like silly Americans, as long as weapon puts hole in enemy at reasonable distance & can be piss washed with vodka, and still work like our Woman in factory, it make comrade Nikolai proud of his weapon production in country
@kyle82386 oh how i love what call of duty has made our generation. russian wanna be's :P lol whats great about russia? nothin. communism is still there though they wont admit, so everyones a poverty stricken ass hole :]
@jigglejack100 I got it from aim surplus but they don't have anymore. I think jgsales is the only place with them now. And those might be century built ones not Romanian.
@jigglejack100 No, The Cugir built ones like mine are just imported by century arms(in Vermont), but the ones they have now are ones Century arms builds on USA made receivers from Romanian parts kits.
@malleymyster I also own a WASR, and the PSL is definitely built better. But its always a case of you get what you pay for. A Chinese NDM-86 will definitely be better quality, but also costs $3,000+.
If you are considering getting one, I recommend to do so. Just in the past 2 or 3 months the price has gone up $100 or more.
@didd23 I got it from aimsurplus but they have been sold out for some time. Currently centerfiresystems has them without scopes for $499 and J&Gsales has them for $629 with scopes.
If you want to hunt with it you can just block the mag by putting a piece of wood, coat hanger or anything else that fits in the spring and keeps it from holding more rounds than is legal.

I called J&G the other day and they told me these are not being imported anymore, and that you won't find them newly imported anymore...
Now I'm kicking myself for not getting one when they had them in.

Yeah I got mine from the last batch of Cugir built ones from AIM.

The rifles at Centerfire and J&G are built on US made receivers. Are U sure your AIM rifle had a Romanian receiver (check the bottom side)?

how well are they built? i would love to own an dragunov style rifle, but my only concern is the garbage quality of the wasr-10 ak's...

My scope with mine had "moisture" or somthing in it. Could barley see anything. So I bought a new scope X6 one and now its rail is crooked!
Now i gotta get the rail fixed, or shim the scope :(
