  • I love hearing Clarkson imitate Americans, but the American pronunciation of Nissan is much more accurate than the British one. The Japanese don't even have that kind of short "i" sound in their language.

  • @Akravator12 Typical americunt wrong as usual.

  • Ha ha americunts are such retards

  • in the UK jaguar is pronounced "jag-you-are" haha so cool :)

  • @TWIGGvsHESKEY You mean we actually pronounce it properly you stupid fuck?

  • TEE-OTA

  • I'll take 'Jag-warrrrr' over 'Jag-wire'. I hear that one a lot around here (Pittsburgh area). Even my friend who owns one calls it a Jagwire.

  • who's the third guy?

  • @05dabest That's Fat James.

  • ah, texas! not really like the rest of america

  • it's funny and im an american. how silly some of our people sound

  • I think I've been to that dealership.

  • @TheBounceMaster thats not james, thats jason dawe, james i not come till the 2nd season

  • hhnda, mizubushi, t-joda, nisSsan, jaguaaaaaaaaaaar

  • Some say he can eat every resolution from 1080p to 360p. He is of course - THE PIG!

  • i blame inbreeding to explain that car dealer

  • this was pretty funny :)))

  • I like the british idear "idea"

  • Wow James was fat back then.

  • @TheBounceMaster Thats because it's not James, James came on in the second season. This clip was from the 1st season and it's Jason.... someone oh yeah, Jason Fatty :D

  • @produKtNZ Wow thanks for that buzz killington -.-

  • @TheBounceMaster You're welcome?

  • @TheBounceMaster lmfao!

  • HE HAD HAIR ONCE???

    my world is in shambles

  • love james may .. cant imagine this guy to be better than him ! "oh cock ! "

  • @Capesports4 Jason Dawe (Y)

  • bee em dubbleyu.

  • lol wtf happened to James :D

  • B M W =)))))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • @linkmaniaaa BMW THE BEST!

  • Who's the fat guy?

  • @dustbowl19311939 I don't remember his name. he was an original host of the show. James replaced him after the first series

  • The American language is British? if it wasn't Americans would all be speaking like American Indians. If Americans don't like how the Brits pronounce words then they should go back to using their old language.

  • @Kinggzreact 1. Neither american or british are languages. And, no we wouldn't be speaking in the Native American tongue, since a miniscule amount of the population are native american and/or descended from native americans. We are from everywhere, mostly england. And, their are over a hundred different english dialects. 20 some just in the UK. What old language? Our only language was English.

  • @ajwalters12 british have queens speak or whatever which sounds like what rednecks sound like.

  • i hate tht fat second hand car dealer..

  • @nastymonsters2 Why? Jason Dawe was brilliant on Top Gear, if a little bit reserved. He did exactly what James May did at the beginning when he took over, and more. Do you hate him because he is a little bit overweight?

  • yeah, because all americans talk like a fucking southern >.>...jesus.

  • @klavier285 Yeah because the british own toyota, hyundai, and nissan.

Oh wait they don't. It's actually the japanese.

  • i own a hunde and mitsubooshy

  • Jaguayire is the best.

  • Top Gear is right about everything about the English Language. Just face it.

  • @CueKill It's because what they speak on most BBC nonfiction programming is known as 'The Queen's English' -- basically the official 'CORRECT' British accent. They even teach Scots, Cockneys and Yorkshiremen to talk like that if they're going to be announcers.

  • Fucking hell James May has put a lot of weight on.

  • That is only true in texas and the south.

  • I refuse to take linguistics advice from a man who talks like he has a mouthful of marbles.

  • i like james may very much indeed but what happened to the other guy?

  • Most Americans say Hyundai as either "Hun-die" or "Hun-dae" as people usually leave the 'y' out for speed. That other guy said "He-yoon-dae" and Clarkson said in another episode "Ha-yeon-dae". Clarkson is the last person who should be correcting people.

현대 is the company name and "Hyundai" is read "Hyeon-dae" or "Hyun-dae". We don't expect you to speak Korean but we would expect you to be humble when you have no idea lol

  • "Ahn speaken outsade har raaaange of heerin'"

  • haha

    he NAILED it

  • Most Brits don't pronounce the R in Ford and the Southern accent is a lot closer to the British accent in comparison to other accents in the USA for example in Delaware a lot of people pronounce the A in WATER very short to the point where it's almost WTER and Brits don't pronounce schedule right.

  • @valstar1000 I'm from the south of england, near Reading and I pronounce the R in Ford, Fod jus sounds pathetic :\

  • @SomeStrangeCritter You probably don't unless you have a West Country accent.

  • @valstar1000 Also, if we don't pronounce schedule as it's spelt - sced-ule (silent h). You ever tried saying vehicle, or tomato, or even nissan without adding in letters or punctuation... eg - ve-hi-cle, tomaito, nee-saw'n (pronounced not spelt ofc)

  • @valstar1000

"The British accent"? You realize that there are a lot of accents in England, Wales, Scotland and N-Ireland?

  • Thank god they got rid of that disgusting fat pig

  • @rudiratte1 You're a fag that doesn't care about human dignity but instead about looks.

  • @valstar1000 i bet your are fat yourself. funny how fat people get offended when they get called fat, i mean after all they are the ones who can't stop eating.

  • Lol at the annotation - 'ALMOST 20,000 VIEWS!!!" Needs a little updating. ;)

  • HUUNDY LMAO

  • nissan=car

    nissin=ramen

and jason dawe just being fat

  • Damnit! Why the hell do I live in the south, he's actually very right. Only car brand that gets said right 100% is Ford.

  • nissun or nissan is how we british say it

  • @XFiEntertainment most of us in the civilized world (europe) say it that way.

  • So I'm guessing he was talking to a southerner

  • @Devok2it "This took place in Texas" might have been a clue as to where he was.

  • WTF happened to James ?? his hair is SHORT!!

  • @Jammydrury that is not James

  • Mitsabooshee! lol

  • Who is the fat fuck on the left?

  • @derekjlight Jason Dawes, motoring journalist. Top man.

  • BM-Duh-belyoo

  • Every country pronounces it different so get over it people

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha !

  • cant say that i pronounce them correctly either! i live in the South, give me da benefit of the doubt!

  • hahahahahahaa thats funny...but i like southern accent though..

  • Hhhjjjuuuuundah x)

  • "we sell a lot" LOL

  • I drive a Shevee personally.

  • Amerucans also say Pooh-geot (For Peugeot) instead of Pair-geot!!

  • The big guy is Jason Dawe from the tv series 'the used car roadshow'.

  • That fat guy is not James May, is it?!

  • @EmperorMAD No... lol

  • Enough about the word prounciations...who is that man?!!

  • Pass times of both our countries:

    - getting pissed

    - laughing at other countries

    -getting worked up over nothing

  • What is this BMWa he speak of? LOL.

  • mitsubushy LOL

  • Comment removed

  • "Nee-saw'n" is actually the right way to pronounce it. Top Gear has it wrong.

  • @RabblerouserGT Actually you americans have it wrong, even japanese adverts say NISS-AN.

  • @RabblerouserGT I'm sorry to inform you that that's incorrect. It's pronounced "knee san." You know how I know? I can read. ;)

  • @ItchyKneeSon that's true but "nee sawn" is still closer than how the brits say it

  • @RabblerouserGT Srslytho, it's にっさん. Now, do you know how to say karaoke or kamikaze properly?

  • @ItchyKneeSon or 'Toyota'? :)

  • @RabblerouserGT No... it's a Nissan...

  • @RabblerouserGT no its not

  • wait...what? that fat guy is James ?

  • @oOLittleDevil Yeah, his hair was shorter in the first series.

  • @oOLittleDevil ofc not...

  • MixuBushi

  • Isn't it more important too find out how the respective makers of the cars pronounce it rather than how we proncounce compared to the americans? Maybe in Korea, 'High-un-di' is actually pronounced 'Hun-day'?

  • James May was quite the fatty back then. :P

  • W is the worst over here "double ya" lmfao

  • He didn't mispronounce them all - he said Jaguar right, not mispronouncing it the way the English always do.

  • @mrjjking77 How can English mispronounce it, if it's an English car? It'd be like saying French mispronounce T(e)G(e)V(e), cause they don't say TeeGeeVee.

  • @Crewka You do know that it's named for the animal, right? A name given it by the Portuguese. So, yeah, they are pronouncing it wrong.

  • @mrjjking77 That is completely beside the point, mostly down to the fact, that if you invent/make something and you name it, it's up to you how it's spelled or pronounced - even if it's named after something else.

  • @Crewka That's a nice bit of illogic.

  • @mrjjking77 And how do you figure that?

  • press 7 for epic face

  • Not all British people have bad teeth, not all Americans are fat. Stereotypes are wrong. Thank you. Get over it.

  • Who is the rather large, strange man, sitting quietly next to Hammond??? o.O

  • James lost a lot of weight since then....

  • @MiG2107 HAHAHA

  • @MiG2107 that is not James

  • @MiG2107 LOL

  • @MiG2107 haha nice one

  • @MiG2107 That is not James...

  • @SnowroxKT

    That was the Joke... :/

  • @NegativeNumbers427 he is stupid :)

  • @Jammydrury

    Aah well. It happens.

  • @MiG2107 LOL man! :))

  • LOL WHO'S THE FAT GUY?

  • How come all it takes is the word 'American' or 'British' in the title of a video, for there to be an England vs. America arguement in the comments?

We're allies, for fucks sake. Just shut the fuck up.

  • As you all now know, I am American. Although I thoroughly enjoy listening to Clarkson, I am growing weary of his anti Americanism.

Also to whomever reffered to us as "the colonies", you'd better brush up on your history.

  • @Rick258442

    Yeah, and their teeth too!

  • mitsabushi

  • LOL!!!! american kid picks on the English *calm*

I respond to the comment *ALL AMERICANS RAGE THE FUCK OUT*

learn to take what you dish out

  • BM DUBYA

  • So now James may is fat.

  • @caymann883 Jee just started watching top gear didnt you. Havent been watching since the beginning like me

  • @caymann883 Incorrect. Actually, James Mays is now NOT James may.

  • At least our automotive shows in the colonies talk about cars and not other cultures. Could it be Tony Blair supporting the Iraq War maybe? But to use Top Gear this way is rude, PRETENTIOUS, and he has absolutely no class! Not to mention his constant abuse of sterotypes... his opions don't translate directly into fact, just because he has a show on the telly. He's a loud mouth man child with a microphone! He calls Americans: stupid, rude, and fat. Surely he's looking in the mirror...

  • I'm American and although Jeremy pretty much nailed it, 90% of Americans don't speak like that. British are just pissed we whipped your ass a couple hundred years ago and now we have come under the realization, that through fraudulent banking practices in what probably amounts to a subversive takeover in 1913 by the Rothschilds, we may have to come do it again.

  • @Rick258442 So if you whipped our "ass" then technically your the oldest person in the World, congratulations! BTW Jeremy was on about 1 man he met he didnt say all Americans talk like this. I know your not all the same but a lot of you are ignorant and pretentious, but I could say the same for some British people and in fact any country. I just think it happens on a bigger scale in your country. Picking G W Bush as a president just says a lot really dont you think?

  • @PaulGT3 Your collective asses as a country would be "Whipped Britain's ass". Not whipped Britain's asses.

The only thing out of proportion that has to do with America is how much of our crappy TV and media you are exposed to. Also, we tend to street fight better than most. Incarcerate innocent people better than most, Take from the working poor and give to the non working poor better than most, fool our population with a fake political system better than most, etc.

  • @PaulGT3 The typical American is a kind, thoughtful, polite person who is not overweight, particularly loud, or overly ignorant to the goings on of the world.

As a whole I would have to say America is, however, less aware of the goings on outside the country, as compared to other nationalities.

  • @Rick258442 Hahahahahahaha, good one!

  • hey hey series 1!

  • Living in California, I think the typical Texas accent is pretty funny as well. I always think of Texas having a grin of their face when they talk, like W Bush.

  • it pretty funny top gear allways bashing americans

  • lol @ bmdubya

  • making fun of americans for a (what seems to be) southern accent, its to be expect from brits, who have women sounding like ulga with a ballsack.

  • Hahahaha... Serbia loves Clarkson

  • what the hell is that massive green thing? did it eat james?

  • i cracked my ass off with the Mitsubushi

  • Dear god, i sound like that o.O

  • why do the british say "Zed" instead of "z"?

  • @Dillon1108 Because we're correct and you're not, it's our language learn how to speak it properly.

  • @cheeseypuffsrule that's quite ignorant. "our" language? you lost the right to say that after the battle of yorktown lol. you don't see mexicans speaking perfect spanish or following spain's grammatical rules. dialects are what make us unique so don't get all patriotic, it's a dumb emotion anyway. americans will have their language and the english theirs, deal with it because that's the way the world is.

  • @Tankshock You're still wrong though :-)

  • Oh, and they ALWAYS mispronounce aluminum. What the hell is alloyminion anyway?

  • @dccoulthard

Different pronuniciation because it's a different name for the same metal and also because the british fully pronouce the letter 'u' in the word rather than the lazy american approach to the letter.

    English - aluminium - [al][you][mini][um]

    Ameri-glish - aluminum - [al][oo][min][um]

  • They always mispronounce Prius :)

  • I want a Jagwaar

  • The South: Making America look bad for over 200 years.

  • @ThEsHeEn117 Thankfully the north won the civil war. Otherwise we'd look even worse than we do now. If we still had slaves, i think id have to move out of the country. Well, i still do but that would leave me wanting to even more so.

  • so he is making fun of a people because of their dialect. what a very mature british man he is. fucking english people.

  • Like the Swedish Chef, of cars

  • James May's let himself go...

  • James May's let himself go...

  • hundi mitsibushi teeota neeson jagwar bmwu

  • And Britain doesn't have regional accents?

  • @listerone because we made the fucking language

  • Jeremy clarckson is a boss

  • Press 7 for epic face ahhahaa

  • ha ha ha ho ho ha ho ha ha hoho hoha ha Love Americans. They are funny people.

  • I prefer to press 7.

  • No wonder people think Northerners are assholes. They really are! C&
