oh by the way guys. the first two fighters were from the SangMoo Military team. Believe me when I say that these guys are the best of the korean armed forces. I had the Honor of training with them. It's all business!!
if they were allowed to punch to the head then it would look like karate and it'd be very difficult to tell the difference. Besides would you try to punch against the kicks that you saw in this video? I've been on the recieving end of some of these kicks unless you're trained the way these guys train you wouldn't see most of these kicks coming
@loujencece dude comon dont bull shit your self punches would wreck these guys I'm first dan been training for a while in wtf style but dont try to make TKD out to be something that it isn't, its a sport
@quizzachu Sir Korea's full of 1st dans. I'm a first Dan in WTF. Taekwondo is more than just a sport. Have you ever left the US? Lemme guess no right? I strongly suggest you do some more reseaerch before you go shooting your mouth off. I spent four consecutive years in south Korea and I've seen taekwondo up close and personal. Taekwondo has two main Factions, ITF and WTF. Kicks generate three maybe four times the force of a punch
@quizzachu a 1st Dan in what? stupidity? Ia simple Round kick generates three maybe four times as much force as an over hand right or a reverse punch and as I've said the speed that these guys generate you'll get hit more than you'll be able to block. I'm a 1st Dan in WTF and I've spent 4 consecutive years in korea training with the Highschools, some University teams and these guys that you saw in this film the sangmoo Military team. I know first hand what these folks can do.
@loujencece yeah no shit but any one who has been boxing for more than 2 weeks isn't going to sit there and let you fucking kick them TKD has good parts about it but its not amazing by itself
@loujencece They are allowed to punch to the head in the ITF TKD system, in the WTF TKD system they are not. The main difference between TKD and KARATE is that TKD is a lot more fluid and has a higher rithm due to emphasis on the kicks. And as far as not seeing the kick, u're right. You could be a fighter in a different style, but unless you'd practice TKD the way these guys do or at least fight with TKD fighters for a while, you can't see the kicks because you're not used to them.
No chest guard or helmet. These are real men. Good skills too!
