i enjoyed freelancer so far, but i didnt appreciate games as the X series and spacefoce rogue universe. can someone suggest this game or not?

@Lenangreal Not reccommended. It was a try reaching Freelancer. Even Rogue Universe was better. (Rogue Universe with better accessibility would have succeded)

I'd say yes. This game is worth the 20 credits you should have to pay for it now. It can be a little repetitive sometimes, but still a lot of fun.

Unlike Freelancer? How so?? Freelancer had so many areas that were completely unfinished (blame microsoft). These are different games but Freelancer is not what your making it out to seem like. Go play a real space sim like x3 with a x52 setup or the gems from before Freespace series, IW2.

A lot of artwork and sound content went into this game. Gameplay is 3/5. Beyond the (good) scripted story, there is little content to keep one playing outside the plot (unlike Freelancer). The 300 systems are carbon copies of about 5 different system templates, so each looks like the one before it. Worth it? One playthrough, that's all. *Do not compare to Freelancer*

The controls to fly the DarkStarOne are really great , also the cockpit views are perfect .

I love to use the thrusters when in battle .

Other spacegames should take a example of this one how to control space ships , because the contol system in this game are perfect ! And the game is huge , i play it now olmost one year , I hope the fly controls and cockpit views in JGE en Black Prophecy will be the same as the DarkStarOne .

move the mouse to the targetview on the left.

there is a "scan" button in the window. looking like 3 small arrows.

Once upon a time, back when i had an Amiga 500, i loved Wing Commander. Now i played this one. A nice scenario, not the best but nice, okay gameplay, fun and mostly, big enough with side missions e.t.c. e.t.c.

I have only one thing to complain about. The drone defense flak cannon mission 2 was EXTREMELY hard. It gave me a very hard time to beat it. I don't know why they made that mission SO hard. Anyway, great game.

Much more boring than the Freelancer. It has a couple of beautiful moments like the ship itself and some explosions. The rest is dull like the story and systems. I've completed the game, was probably very bored.

No. It's graphically better, yes. But Freelancer's systems were each unique, unlike DSO's 'single station on a slightly different background' ones.
