In my opinion, yes. God/Allah, whatever name you use, is the god of Abraham. Islam, Judaism and Christianity all trace their roots back to this one man, Abraham. So whether they realize it or not, it seems they all worship the same god.

I was raised Christian (Catholic more specifically), so you're not telling me anything new--no trinitarian ever does. I never believed Jesus(pbuh) was God. I made that philosophical choice YEARS before I picked up a Qur'an or thought twice about Islam. During the revelations to Muhammad s.w.s., Noble Qur'an was memorized by the prophet s.w.s. and the sahabas, the companions, and at the same time it was recorded, meaning it was written down, on different types of materials, i.e. sheep skin, stones etc., because paper was not discovered at that time.

Sorry about the delay. I had major projects to complete. The hadiths reveal that the written compiled qur'an was not authorised by Allah nor by Muhammad. They also reveal that Uthman was the editor of the Qur'an and not Allah. The qur'an does not prove that it was authorised by Allah.

I guess you do not understand the difference betweeen comanding somone and asking someone. Muhammad s.w.s. asked angel Gabriel to recite surahs in different manners, he did not command. Again, you are assuming something.
Yes, there are hundreds of thousands of documents, but more importantly, since the beginning, the Qur'an was memorized, and has been memorized ever since. If you memorize the English Alphabet A-Z, and someone writes a book saying that the order is "ABDZUTC..." then you and everyone else who has memorized the proper alphabet knows it is wrong, and would not allow this to happen. The Qur'an is the word of God, do you really think the early Muslims would allow any mistakes to enter?

If God is "holy" and can not be in the presence of sin, how is it we can be in the presence of God? No one has ever found a blatant contridiction. The truth is there are'nt any. In fact other then mispellings and alternate spellings, nothing has ever been found to be faulty, unless there be some other agenda, where we begin to dictate to ourselves what real truth is.

Yes, and Jesus also spoke of the commands He instructed us to keep. He said that we should "love the Lord thy God with all thy mind, and all thy strength, and also to love thy neighbor as yourself."
What Jesus is teaching is the law, but simplified. You see if we do what Christ asks in this statement, obeying things like the ten commandments will be automatic.
What God requires on judgement day, is PERFECTION! Not for us to be "close enough to perfection!"

I was raised Christian (Catholic more specifically), so you're not telling me anything new--no trinitarian ever does. I never believed Jesus(pbuh) was God. I made that philosophical choice YEARS before I picked up a Qur'an or thought twice about Islam. I also swear by God that if someone showed me in a bible that Jesus directly claimed to be God I'd discount him as a prophet as well, thankfully I MUST accept him as a prophet as I always have anyway in order to be Muslim.

If I knew nothing about what God is - I would believe that there would be only one. Two things 1.) just cuz a triangle has three sides doesn't mean each facet can disengage independently from the whole and 2.) no one in the history of mankind has died for the well being of others just for the no good reason of impersonating some deity. You might consider Jesus merely a prophet, but why would you underestimate His prophecies? If He's a prohpet, proclaim it. If not, remove Him from your book.

On the one side you have an experienced wise man whose bible has for centuries been picked to pieces with the historic-critical method, on the other side an eloquent who is as merry as a lark to recite some pieces of that, but doesn't recognize that for his book this historic-critical job has just started and there is no doubt one can find a lot of contradictions and inconsistencies therein.

Once again you prove your lack of knowledge of Islam. During the revelations to Muhammad s.w.s., Noble Qur'an was memorized by the prophet s.w.s. and the sahabas, the companions, and at the same time it was recorded, meaning it was written down, on different types of materials, i.e. sheep skin, stones etc., because paper was not discovered at that time.

Scrolls/parchments had been used for over 1000 years when Muhammad was born!

Sorry about the delay. I had major projects to complete. The hadiths reveal that the written compiled qur'an was not authorised by Allah nor by Muhammad. They also reveal that Uthman was the editor of the Qur'an and not Allah. The qur'an does not prove that it was authorised by Allah.

You truly are misguided! There are different types of recitations of the Noble Qur'an. The text in these recitations is unchanged, but the recitation differs. If you ask any Muslim they will tell you that any surah from the Noble Qur'an can be recited in different manners, meaning with different tones. Is that your argument?

It seems to me that you are missing obvious points my friend. When you ask "which of the diff. ways was written in the Uthman/Zaid texts? Written text is the same, even prior to Uhmans kaliphate. All Uthman did was to standardise the dialect, that is the Quraish dialect in which the Noble Qur'an was revealed.

I guess you do not understand the difference betweeen comanding somone and asking someone. Muhammad s.w.s. asked angel Gabriel to recite surahs in different manners, he did not command. Again, you are assuming something.

Yes, there are hundreds of thousands of documents, but more importantly, since the beginning, the Qur'an was memorized, and has been memorized ever since. If you memorize the English Alphabet A-Z, and someone writes a book saying that the order is "ABDZUTC..." then you and everyone else who has memorized the proper alphabet knows it is wrong, and would not allow this to happen. The Qur'an is the word of God, do you really think the early Muslims would allow any mistakes to enter?

Regarding Trinity. God tells us that when a man marries a woman the 2 become 1. We can't fathom this concept but we accept it because God taught it. God teaches that within His being there are 3 in 1. We cannot conceive this, but we accept it because He taught it. If we could understand or explain these things we would be God.

Should have debated if Muhammad is a prophet of God. Adam, Moses & Jesus TAUGHT 1 man 1 woman. The false prophet taught 'Allah said that Muhammad can have as many wives as he wants & Muslim men up to 4' -contradicting God, Adam, Moses and Jesus. Jesus warned that children should not be harmed. Muhammad was sleeping with Aisha when she was 9 and he in his 50s with adult wives. He did it often, since she was favourite wife. Her tiny womb was most likely damaged - hence she never had children.

Ahmadlion. David talks like a man who is close to God in relationship. Shabir is very articulate, has studied much but speaks as one who is skiled on how to argue. The people that Jesus had the harshest words for were those who apparently knew of God but did not know Him and to them He will say I did not know you. What will count when each of us meets Him. David has the assurance that he will go to heaven - what about Shabir?
