  • where can we buy these moulds from please, we cant find them in england

  • @catstopper

You can get them at the website. Google White Gothic Studios. Thanks for asking.

  • Great video. I was wondering if it would be worth it to buy one of the molds. I want to make fairies but can not sculpt so this was great. Thanks

  • where could i get the doll mold?

  • How did you condition your clay? I am new at this and I tried using the pasta machine but apparently I didn't do something right.

  • @MyraPayne

I use Super Sculpey and Sculpey III and blend by hand first and then use a pasta machine. I run it through the pasta machine about 20 times until all of the marbeling is gone. Thanks for asking.

  • Scary how the molds shape resembles a coffin when its pressed together...lol

  • what is the mold made out of? Is there any significance to blending the clays? Can I use Sculpey Original in a plaster of paris mold?

  • @sakuranzu Yes you can use Super Sculpey in the plaster mold. I prefer the molds to be plaster because although the rubber molds are marketed to be "easier" to remove, the fact is, no matter how careful you are, there is distortion, especially around the features.

With the hard molds, if there's any trouble "sticking" which there usually isn't, but if there is, I roll up a ball of clay and lift the head straight up, then do the same on each hand, foot until the doll comes out.

  • I saw the other video about making the fairy doll armature...what do you use the armature for?

  • @MelissaDotBartley - If the dolls are posed laying down, or sitting in a fairy garden scene, you don't really need the armature if you cure the clay properly. However, once you begin posing the dolls standing up or arms reaching out, it is best to use an armature wire. I prefer the cloth covered wire because it doesn't push up to the "skin level" and you don't see the silver armature wire around the arms, etc. like with other wire types.

  • What clay are you using?

  • A blend of Super Sculpey and Sculpey III

  • @bluekingkongkymm - A combination of super sculpey and sculpey III white. I prefer this mix for all of my dollmaking.

  • this is a demonstration on how to use a push mould, she isnt saying you can't use your own creation and moulds..great vid.

  • Helps with learning the basics until your confident enough to sculpt on your own. Some people do not have instant talent. They need a little help to start. Dont put someone down for using molds, it might discourage them from even trying to create a doll. Sculpting is hard to begin with. If your so great, why are you watching and commenting on the video to begin with? Just to discourage people and put them down? Give them a break! Video is very informative for people using push molds. Thank You.

  • im sorry i didnt mean to sound like that i was just confused about it thats all ..im srry to u all.

  • @Domut this person constandly posts nasty posts about using molds. Not everyone wants to be a sculptor. They just want to use the molds to make dolls. There is a whole ceramics business that uses molds. You need to let go and move on. P.S. You never hear the men artists screaming all over the internet that they sculpted everything from scratch each time, only petty women.

  • Most excellent. Thank you for sharing this valuable info with fellow crafters.

  • Oh, I can't wait to try things out like this!

  • what is the name of the thik that you have to put first in the mold??? O_O i don't understand very well english u_u

  • ithink its clay,,,

  • @Maglugbel - I assume you are referring to the spray bottle? It's only filled with water. I lightly spray the insides of the molds with water to make sure the clay doesn't stick. I used to use powder, but the water is so much better and cleaner. Other than that, when I get a new mold, I roll up a ball of clay and just dab it around inside to remove any residue that might be left from the drying process.

  • @chrissis111 yes! is water!! xD daa thanks :P

  • veri informative...do u have a web site other than on Ebay? i wish to buy this and perhape other molds.

  • This is so informative. Thank you.

  • Thanks for posting this video!! I bought one of your molds on eBay, but haven't used it yet. After watching this tutorial, I'm ready to try it out now.

  • Regina, thank you for doing this video. I haven't made a doll yet, but watching you work with your mold makes it look like something I'd enjoy trying. Thelma
