Sad to say because i like also Ritchie, so i often listen to old concerts like Made in Japan but since Steve is in the band its so nice to see them all having so much fun playing together. @dasvadder12 They might appear to be haveing fun in the video but behind the scenes there was lots of tension between Gillan & Blackmore and girlfriends were involved . Plus there were argunmements if Jon Lord should take the solo or Ritchie. These days things are 100% fine. I would love to hear more stories between the Gillan/ Blackmore fued, lots of things happend between them.

They were at a restraunt during the time the Noboy's Perfect tour was due to start in 87.  Somebody had poured sauce over Ritchie 's plate of sphagetti , he naturally thought it was Ian . He went over to him, had his hands up & was ready for a punch on. Ian didn't want a fight & was very emotional & was ready to quit the tour. Somebody else had poured the sauce but Ian copped the blame .

I think Ritchie is better than Steve for one reason with purple he created very catchy riffs and good ballads that keep sticking in your head for a long time the problem with Steve is that he surely is a great musician but he isn't a great composer of memorable tunes like Ritchie.Infact many people when they go to a purple gig always expect to hear HIghway star Smoke on the water burn when a blind man cries lazy strange kind of woman perfect strangers and others great tracks from ritchie's era

@tmgrodrigo Guitarist is not Blackmore. He looks older now and he never preferred to smile at stage :| You know I was at Deep Purple show in Russia at 2010 and can say that Steve is AWESOME! He is great guitar player, very artistic, charismatic and he brings even more drive to this legendary band.

As for Gillan voice, it deserves honor at least. Yes it is not as bright and strong now but it is still great. It terribly amazes when original band play alive songs of my youth!
