I can't tell if it's aggressive or not. It's wagging its tail (a common sign of aggression), but I really think it's just playing. Cats play with me like that too.

That's no animal abuse in any way, shape or form. It's a fighting and hunting game, which cats use to play with other cats. And that's a lot rougher. The cat wasn't hurt and it could have gone away any time it wanted to.
Animal abuse is pulingl out your cats claws, croping its tail or ears or breeing persians with flat noses.
Separating kittens with less then 12 weeks from their mother and keeping a kitten alone in your flat is also animal abuse.

@IAMARATEL My cats never made noises when they got pissed off, their ears went back and they lunged like this guy does....the tail moves like that back and forth when cats are annoyed, its not a sign of play or happiness at all, my female does it after she has been naughty (like going where she knows she shouldnt and we tell her to move or move her). Oh and alot of this info comes from vets, not just me ranting...and no its not about animal abuse, this is about understanding animal behaviour
@IAMARATEL Kitties love to spar! I have 4. One is 14 & above the 3 "barbarians" but the 3 love to chase each other & spar a lot. It's really not much different than little kids wrestling. Well, except for the teeth & claws! Occasionally a kitty will go a little too far & corrective hissing & spitting ensues. It's like, "HEY!! Too rough you jerk!"

@IAMARATEL Yup! It's neat how cats communicate with their tails.Over these 18 years I've learned many different wags as I am sure you have. There's a gentle, contented sway, the annoyed whip, the perturbed shimmy (like a snake) the super happy jiggle which is a lot like the pee pee jiggle but I see it when being greeted or when I've got kitty cookies or a new toy & they do have a sort of dogish, happy wag. I heard about that one way before I had cats & thought that was crazy. It's not! =^. .^=

The guy was actually very gentle with the cat. Anybody who owns a cat knows that putting your hand in its face will piss a cat off, and even though he was "teasing" the cat, he was very gentle and never yelled at the cat or pushed it or hit it or kicked it, etc. Yeah, he could get hurt by messing with the cat that way, but again, anyone who owns a cat knows what he's getting himself into when he plays with a cat that way. :)

Those little needle teeth can get very deep & their little jaws are strong! That cat could have ripped up the guy's leg in seconds if he wanted to. They are predators after all. My cats wrestle & fling each other all over the house. I keep an eye on them so no one gets hurts but it never goes too far. =^. .^=

I have many toys to scratch & climb but their nails still grow long. Part of being a responsible pet guardian is grooming.Claws can grow around & pierce the paw if neglected.This is also true for dogs. Sticking to things or having "Velcro" toes makes them unhappy. It takes only a few minutes to clip claws & they play more when their claws are short.

lol the cat knows he's playing...while it leaves some area's prone...it prevents them from being ensnared in your clothing.. and if they f you up... you can quickly see how bad it is.. or he was just running around in his trousers and decided to play with sharp kitty teeth and claws...=/
most animals avoid conflict...as an act of self preservation.. and is normally instinctive.. a cat being playful or attacking is usually due to human influences..
