Dark elves are (in my oponion at least) far better than the elves. although the dark elves suvive by not underestimating they're enemies and at the same time know they're own limits. she was getting tired and exhausted, seeing as she was most likely an assasin used to a quick battle. the Elf was more used to long duels due to that they fight "honorably". Besides she uses a bigger sword and needs to be more used to long enduring battles.

well the darker elf is in the distinct characteristics of a Drow (or dark elf whatever you prefer) but if she isn't a Drow (dark elf) then she is probably a well trained and darker form of a moon elf

To all that didnt know:

1st of all, drow and dark elf is a same thing, just in some books/games/movies they become dark in difrent way (like in Game L2 they were cursed by Light elf elders, or in Salvatore books they become dark cz they worship Loth and live in undergrown) anyway this is a cimena movie from game Lineage 2, its made for comercial, its for show how ingame charactrs look like it has nothing to do with who will win elf or the dark elf

The skin tone of drows can vary, from a dark shade of grey to jet black. NORMALLY females don't become fighters. but they can become rogues and assasins, since only noble females can become clerics. just as not all males becomes wizards or fighters.

Sounds like you ought to read up on your Norse mythology. Considering the elves and dwarves in Norse legends are very much like Tolkien's, that seems to be from where he drew his inspiration.

I'm not saying that modern fantasy universes don't borrow heavily from Tolkien's; they most certainly do. I'm saying that Tolkien himself borrowed heavily from existing mythologies when he created his universe. Talvrae is correct.
