Nice touch with the black and white grained old news reel feel. Just a friendly tip to Nitro Man: if you put fly in first tray you can access it while tray is still hidden so you dont need to unhide it.

the character creation videos ive seen puts me off the game a bit. Was thinking about trying this game out as i like the idea of it but graphically its subpar to many other games and it dosent look to me to be very immersive..for an mmorpg anyways.

Anyone any opinions of the game that could persuade me to give it a try?

I found this game far more immersive than the majority of MMOs, albeit there are moments that break that. Never the less, the capacity to roleplay in CoH/CoV far outstrips any other MMO. Instead of, say, WoW, where everyone is a cookie-cutter copy of any one else of a particular race, you can make a truly unique and personal character in this game.

Graphically, it's exactly what you'd expect for a game from the year it came out. No MMO back then had better graphics. They've even updated.

There are lots of players. Different servers have different populations. Freedom is the most highly populated, but it has the nickname "Freedumb" for a reason. Virtue has almost as many, and is the unofficial roleplay server. Victory has quite a few and is the GLBT server, so it's got plenty of friendly and helpful folk. Pinnacle is the drunk server hero-side, and the cyber server villain-side.

Sorry, but I only know about the North American servers.

there are times in the morning when i just have waken up and two are three of the servers are nearly full and most off the time it takes like 30 seconds to get on a team and i can be on the team for 5 hours. (on the weekends) this is the besst mmorpg out there

you can pvp, you can also team with villains and heroes alike. yes you can go into some buildings (stores) but its very different from wow, so in some senses yes its better than wow. in wow everyone is trying to get the "best" gear while in coh/v you make your build and you can enhance each power (accuracy, damage, recharge time [known as cool down on wow[) best way to describe game play is.. unique. and lvl up is crazy fast. but that's okay because for most, the fun is in making the toon.

MMORPG means Massively Multiplayer Online RolePlaying Game. That means there are potentially thousands or hundreds of thousands of other players on at the same time as you which you could just bump in to. Granted, I'm pretty sure the limit per zone is 50 or 100 player characters before another instance of the same zone is available.

And the great part of CoH/CoV is that "Roleplaying" is really stressed compared to all other MMOs.
