@ismokemadJs he had clips on. clips are basically a clip on your pedals and clips on your shoes. it helps your rhythm and helps you pedal fast. the only way to clip out is to move you fet to the side in a pivot motion. i have clips of my own and ive fallen before it doesnt feel good. also they are pretty hard to clip out in mid air.

This is why I don't like racing. Since it's the "rules" and you have to cross the finish line to make the race count, out of the riders who were still moving after going down no-one went to check on the guy who got taken out cold. Racing the clock and a finish line takes the humanity out of people. Bummer. Never mind the timer. If racing was humane, it would make a lot more sense for everyone to stop and make sure every single person in the race is okay after such a crash.
