zouk is absolutely a favorite in Panama, where the west indies, jamaican, haitian, caribbean rythms in general are widely known.... Fresh, very refreshing music.... non stop dance time...
Danced non stop to this song a young girl in my living room in London. My parents St Lucian and Domincan. Gonna go on Amazon and buy some Kassav cds now!!
@MegaFairandsquare The guy who played that magic bass is Georges Decimus, still alive, brother to Pierre Edouard Decimus, one of the cofounders of the band with Jacob Desvarieux (the lead singer) What a tears-generating track ! I was 15 years-old in Bandundu village in Congo when I first listened to this soul-invading song ! Aaaah
man man manman man man !!!!! Gaye mosso zouk la ! tchip awa kassav' c'est le groupe phare du zouk. déja à l'ancienne ils étaien trop OP. encore aujourdhui leurs son font tjs autant bouger. Poooooooye poye mi zafè mi lol
I was 7 and my older brother cassete-J, lol...there were no CD's. I use to follow him around and I loved this song. He used to play all this Zouk songs (Kassav, Zouk machine, Houria, energy, eric brota, frank vincent, gazoline, gerry malaky, jeam michele rotan) etc.
this track is fire, especially @ :32 when the drums drop and @:35 when the beat comes in , that baseline is sick... Jacob's voice is amazing, Jocelyne's too
OMG this brings such memories!! this one is the second song on the best of Kassav album, i can remember. hey if you have that album, can you pleas send me those songs. Thank you very much for the uploads to! ~One love~ from Aruba :)
Inoubliable succes!!!
no album title...but it jacob desvarieux and georges decimus album realesed during 1984 and remastered in 1999...sweet memories with "kavalie o dam","tim-tim bwa sek" and "yelele"....C'est trop mortel
