  • @MegaFairandsquare The guy who played that magic bass is Georges Decimus, still alive, brother to Pierre Edouard Decimus, one of the cofounders of the band with Jacob Desvarieux (the lead singer) What a tears-generating track ! I was 15 years-old in Bandundu village in Congo when I first listened to this soul-invading song ! Aaaah

  • I was 7 and my older brother cassete-J, lol...there were no CD's. I use to follow him around and I loved this song. He used to play all this Zouk songs (Kassav, Zouk machine, Houria, energy, eric brota, frank vincent, gazoline, gerry malaky, jeam michele rotan) etc.

  • Inoubliable succes!!! Kassav a su montrer que les Antilles et l'Afrique avaient des liens de sang très fort par leur rythme et leur melodie. Cette chanson a été un tube à kinshasa (RDC) en 1986.
