All these offensive highlights are just him running faster than people. No gaining separation through sudden breaks or precise routes.

Now that he's in NE, hes learning he can't just blow by defenders in the NFL. Hopefully he can polish his route running skills this offseason. He has the potential to be a very good #2 receiver.

If he hadn't gotten injured in 2008, UNC would've been insane that year. They were still a fairly good team with Hakeem Nicks carrying most of the receiving responsibilities, but they would've been much better with Tate and Nicks in the lineup.

He was injured, and dropped into the third round of the draft. I thought he would be on IR this year. The Patriots picked him in round 3 (a steal if the injury hasn't stolen any of his speed). He is currently on PUP ans should be active after week 6. Since Galloway seems to be a bust, he could be starting opposite Moss (with Welker in the slot) by the second half of the season. Can't wait!

I mean, if it's size and hands you want, just put a tight end in the slot. Tate is a guy who will contribute everywhere, and IF he gets healthy will have a better career than Barden. If CBs and WRs weren't allowed to jump, then maybe all this Barden hype would be worthwhile.

At Poly Barden physically dominated CBs. NFL corners have the athleticism to match, so unless he can change his game, I don't think he will be successful.

I watched both for four years while in college, and believe me, they both can play the possession guy. The reason Tate makes these wide open catches is because he burns people's asses. Plus he's the NCAA all-time leader in kick return yardage -- meaning that UNC gave up a shit ton of points for a few years AND that he can be Devin Hester on special teams.
