First heard this in 1967 from an old 78 rpm borrowed from my friend's father and love it ever since. Through the years (I am now 63 an retiree ) like many others I heard the version by Cai Qin which is equally good.If you key Wu Ying Ying in Youtube you can watch this wonderful singer in concert. She came to Singapore about 10 years ago but I missed her concert. God bless You Florence Ashley for the nostalgia. Chan

If I was not wrong, she, the singer, was die on 17 Dec 2009 in LA, US. The ceremony was held by her family on 27 Dec 09. On 1958, she was allowed to Hong Kong for collecting funds fr EMI. She was later accused to received spy(forieng) money during Cutural Revolution period.

Yeah, I saw "Love of Siam" and noticed this song as well.

A yound lady said that in the movie that there is a sentence written "Where there is love, there is a hope", but after I checked the lyric, I did not found such a phrase.

I understand only Japanese I may simply cannot understand deep meaning hidden in this lyric.

Or the sentence "Where there is love, there is a hope" is just a fake that the screenwriter had made.

Well, good song and good sentence in the movie. I love both.

Sorry, I don't know why the former post was under my son's name.
