Hi DandDskeeto, I am now and have been in this situation for quite some time. I have been trying to move to a different job in the same company, but hasn't happen yet, I am also trying to look for job on the outside of the company. The abuse is happen so frequently now, that I feel drained, tired, and stress. I need to get protected from them in some legal way so that I can back them off me and stop the abuse, before it destroys me. I already feeling the strain from this situation already.

This needs to be re named as those whose want to be victims support group. You get on here and whine and cry instead of being assertive. Fortunately, in this day and age. BULLY is a label that no one wants to be tagged with. Few things in day to day interactions could be worse ( it would be akin to being accused of being a racist... .well close to it ). The bnet video is a great example of where to start.

If you are being bullied stand up to them ! ( and their boss, through chain of command etc ) This is the 21st Century people can only get away with it if you let them. If you are spineless enough to take it, you deserve it.

Please tell us how to legally 'stand up to them' when there is no law in place that allows that to happen. Employers don't want to be 'hassled' with such a small little nothing problem like that(at least that's how most view it), their only concern is making money, and those who try to go through the chain of command are just getting in the way of them making money and causing problems that the company doesn't need. Which ends up leading to that person being let go or forced to leave. REALITY.

God please tell me you have the following and they are functional: A. Brain B. Testicles C, Spine D. ( which falls into useful but not ABSOLUTELY necessary ) Larynx/Vocal Cords ( anatomical parts used in speech ). The next time your are "victimized" calmly, in view of a few others tell them stop/ won't get away with it.

Contact an employment specialist attorney even IF nothing can be done. One phone call to a supervisor from an attorney "exploring" will get their attention

sometimes i think life isn't worth living when working with a bully. you're there 5 days a week...and sunday is a complete write off because you're dreading monday.

when i was bullied i would think like 'at least i'm not a cancer patient'

I had to face a work place bully and she would deliberately change the content of colleagues documents.

She would spread sensitive information and make every attempt to isolate me from the rest of the team and spreed rumours.

After 1 and half years of this I had enough an wrote her a very blunt complaint - then I told her what I would do if her bullying persisted.

She sure learnt her lesson (if I can recall - I made her cry even).

Hi Dan again I so much admire you, but in my case I am not passive, I can not quit, but I am looking for other employment, and yes that is the reason why I am contacting you, and doing more research to find out what I can legally do.
