this is where Lara outclassed Tendulkar...Lara has played many heroics against best teams AUS and SA on their pace pitches and single handedly won matches
@alexjayachandran - there's a column on the right on youtube site, search it, Lara has scored big centuries in crucial matches and helped his team win.
Lara was one-man Army, one-man team for WI. this is the reason for me rate him the best of his era, yes, ahead of Ricky, Steve and Sachin!! Lara was pure matchless artist with the bat. he could do anything to the ball with his bat. Lovely batsman!
I am not sure if anyone remembers the commentary by Michael Holding on 2nd day morning before the start. He said Lara will score three figure score and winides will go past the australis score. Lara finished Day 2 at 212 no and was out next day caught down the leg side off Mcgrath.
One of the best innings from Lara considering the situation. winidies were whitewashed in South Africa 5-0 in Test series and lost the 1st test match against Australia. Bowled for 47 runs in the 2nd innings in the 1st test match. I think that should have been the worst moment of Lara's great career. Australia were bowled out for 260+ runs and Windies 37/4 at stumps day one.
i saw this match as a 15 year old boy great to watch, also glen mcgrath was not only nasty to brian lara but also to the ground staff has he took a split at the grounds men police had to come his rescue !
i saw thi match as a 15 year old boy great to watch, also glen mcgrath was not nasty to brian lara but also to the ground staff too he took a split at the grounds men.
One doesn't judge a batsman's caliber by aggregate runs in a career, you do so by the impact he creates in the opposition's mind. I'm an Indian.. and i put Lara head and shoulders above Sachin in this regard.
This is why i always stick my neck out and say Lara has been the greatest test batsman since Gavaskar and Viv Richards' times. You throw him in the middle of an epic bout, against the mightiest oppositions, teamed up with a crumbling batting line-up.... give him an impossible situation.. 4 down for 20.. and he just comes up and scores a double ton! Right up his alley.. these acts were.
@madaboutsleep i let your mummy suck my dick every night. i hate it cause she is ugly but i let her cause she begs me to. an where did she learned to beg like that? she spreads her legs wide an asks to insert the coins in her various holes. it is hard to ignore such beggars.
but what is too much is that now she is not satisfied by just sucking my dick, she insists on undressing my penis and licking the cheese inside. yucks.
@DyingSID666 btw you may think my request is funny. but stuart was a very stylish player. he was known as the right hand lara when he started out. many thought he would be a great.
@DyingSID666 Stuart williams was the one who inspired lara & tendulkar to become the best batsman in the world. Tendulkar asked for his autograph on his bat it was only after that he started playing well.
tendulkar scored 7 against sa and 6 featuring steyn or donald.lara scored 4 against sa and 0 featuring donald or steyn. Tendulkar scored just 2 against pakistan but both featured either w guys or akhtar. Lara scored 3 against pakistan but 0 against w guys or akhtar.
I pack myself a fat bong rip, with some purp. Then, I light that shit up, cough a few times then I light myself a Marlboro Cig. Then, I come to youtube, click on robelinda and robelinda2 profiles, and watch like 4000000 videos all day long!!!!! lmao thanks for the awesome videos Rob!
legend, king, magician, genius, the greatest, undoubtably, what a player, i have looked for this for so long, i worship you for uploading it, you are officially my favourite person i have never met
@london651 Yeah i dont take any notice of idiots who would dislike a video like this. I do have some people who get angry that I dont upload their requested videos and go around disliking my videos as payback, wankers, get a fucking life.
@azaboy21 As fantastic it is to watch Lara in his prime, I agree with this post. I grew up in the eighties when all our top-order batsmen were terrified of the Windies' attack. As a wannabe bowler myself I'd love to see footage of that attack.
@AIMANALI , Lara may have played a few Test knocks better than Sachin, but has never played a dream knock in ODI's like Tendulkar......Be it the epic Sharjah sandstorm, 98 vs Pakistan in 2003 WC, his brutal 175 against Aus recently and his magical 200* in ODI's.
@TheIndiansRock when did you started following cricket last year? it have to be.....when lara blasted pakistan attack in sharjah in 1993 with an innings of 153 and belted waqar younis to all parts of the ground sachin tendulkar was yet to score a ODI century....get you facts straight mate.......
@TheIndiansRock This is lara himself. I would just love to come back and smash the Indian bowlers "all over the shop!" You have been warned, lick a 6!! or drive a one, two, three and a four!!!! I will slowly catch the little master if I do, series by series, match by match, cover drive by pull shot, to the famous sweep shot too!! Do you like it "theindiansrock"??!!
Use to miss him with that helmet with the black grill, none the less this has been the best test series i have ever seen!!! this was when i first started watching him play!!! Long live the Prince!!! blow those congse shells my W.I. people!!!
I am extremely thankful to robelinda2 ( im sorry as i dont know your name). I have been a WI fan since my childhood and especially had the privilege to see Brian Lara through out his career.
I have seen the videos posted by you recently and all of them are of great quality and a piece of memory to cherish. I actually wanted to buy all these videos but am not sure where can I buy them. Please let me know if you know of any online store. I am sure everyone is thankful to you and so I.
and there hadn't been a WI centurion since 7 tests. i need to query cricinfo sometime to see what is the dryest spell
eagerly looking forward to your post of the 153*.
it would be magnificient if we could have all the ball by ball coverage of the last 2 wickets with Amby and Walsh.. (i know i am wishing for too much :-) )
i had my engineering exam the next day and i thought to myself, "i'll watch till Lara gets out and then start studying". I ended up watching the whole night (in India), didn't turn a page even though i kept the book in front on me. then i hurriedly prepared for a few hours.. but didn't do too bad in my exam :-)
the cover drive off McGrath was the pick of all the outstanding shots, because he just seemed to dismiss it!
This guy is incredible....

@arora177122 In matches involving Donald or McGrath or Pollock or Waqar or Wasim:
Lara: 88 Inns 3720 Runs @ 43.25.
Tendulkar: 63 Inns 2162 Runs @ 35.44.
Lara has a clear 8 point lead!
Lara never faced Akhtar or Steyn in a Test match.
