@BullpupForum Hey man keep up the good work. Just keep in mind, Guns are like cars... we want to hear what it sounds like, not music dubbed over. Especially when people are talking!
I've been following the thread about this on ARF for months. Definetly gonna get one of these to go with my AUG; assuming they are priced similar what they cost in Canada.
@labartic Kind of hard to do that when the company that they licensed to produce them in the US got busted for illigally exporting AR parts and illigaly importing suppressors.

Does anyone know if this is the latest redesigned Tavor? Because IDF had many reliability issues with original Tavor models and they have been switching them to new designs.
Great, now I'm torn between the Tavor, Beretta's ARX-160 and a FS2000 tactical. I'm only getting one rifle so it'll come down to price, availability and reviews.
From what I've seen I would avoid the F2000 line up of guns, they use way too many plastic parts and clearing malfunctions is a nightmare. Try a Tavor maybe find a place you can rent one from and put some rounds through it before you make a decision.
@TangledThorns with the release off arx-160 in 22lr. maybe the 5.56 version will be pushed next year. Tavor most likely released by Christmas like the Keltec KSG due to production restraints. I would just buy or at least shoot the FS2000 by then you could keep it or tarde it in. Personally I shot and love the FS2000
But put the KT RFB in .260 rem, and I'll be on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich. This one, I'd have to know how it's better than the FS2000 or AUG, which are both quite nice and capable rifles. Is it a lot cheaper than these? A little cheaper? The FS2000 and AUG are both ambi as well, and the FS2000 doesn't need to swap anything, so.....
Is there any chance that you know or can ask Michael if they will make one that is CA legal? or perhaps there's a quick fix that he can suggest? ... It's just that from what I gather, the TAR-21, which I'm dying to get, is 28.3" (18.1" barrel) which is 1.7" too short for CA.
@h0td0gjp With some sort of maglock and a 1.7"+ barrel extension/muzzle attachment it should be CA legal.
As long as fake cans aren't illegal here(I can't recall), w/ a fake suppressor and a maglock, you'd be good to go. Asking for trouble if some soccer mom, or cop sees it, but still, legal.
@therealweenis I merely meant that there might be a quick fix that we, in California, can do to be able to get them. For example, order a slightly longer barrel or muzzle break, have a bullet button, etc.
@h0td0gjp If they make special bullet buttons and special barrels, for California compliance, then unneeded operations go into the production of the gun. This results in a higher gun cost, because they need to pay for tooling, R&D, and abnormal processing. A higher cost that is most likely going to be passed on to every customer, whether they're in Commieforniastan or not. California can pound sand as far as I'm concerned.
Move to a free state, or stop electing bozos to office.
@therealweenis It would be foolish to exclude one of the largest markets in the country. All it needs is the proper 18" barrel (which it should have anyway) and a MagLock and it will be good to go. If a $30 maglock is too much work...well...what can I say. We'll get them in Cali regardless of the stance of the company producing them. As for the "move to a free state" business, some of us know that we have to stay and fight rather than run like cowards, as you suggest.
Great point on staying in the fight! I've lived in Cali a couple of times, and love it, so I didn't mean to come across as negative. Just that there are states out there that are more in line with pro-gun people, and give more immediate gun purchasing options...
Stay in the fight, and know that we're in complete support!
@therealweenis We fight using money and support...the most effective weapon in politics. Besides, you should know that if you don't kill the infection where it starts, it will spread to the whole body. Running away from the fight over the last 21 years has only made things worse for everyone, not better.

@invalidexception Oh yeah? What have you guys accomplished in California with all your money and votes? Nothing. The laws and political climate has only been getting worse. AB 144 anyone?
When California cops can't get weapons... and there is a boycott from the gun industry from doing business with California as a state, then reform will happen, because the state NEEDS guns.

Since you can't, I can't say anything more than "Good day to you, sir."
@invalidexception These cases don't affect me, and they don't affect laws nationwide at all. Parker v California?! So what?! Richards v. Harris, Pena v. Cid, Nordyke v. King, they're not even done yet, and the nationwide impact is minimal.
Come to Arizona, we can carry a legally owned firearm, while it's loaded, concealed, and without a permit. We will probably be allowing carry on Universities soon. We can carry in a bar, with state shall-issued CCW.
@therealweenis You need to go and read the facts of these cases and their status. They're geared towards heading up to the Supreme Court, and are well on their way, which most certainly will affect laws nation-wide. Again, doing your own research would have saved you from saying something stupid just now. Good day to you, sir.

@h0td0gjp Best legal option is to keep it disassembled while in CA and just shoot out of state with it assembled. YES! Not only is it a US Spec Tavor, but it isn't the crazy Canadian version! It's the legit tavor size/style.
I personally would like to see the 18" Standard TAR-21 barrel, but I wouldn't complain about the CTAR aslong as it's not a SBR.

Like the Puritans, there is a time to uproot and start again somewhere else.
And like Barrett Arms did, there's a time to wash one's hands against an entire state's market.
