  • Quel magie!

  • So sad and beautiful... have learnt it on guitar... however just don't have the touch or talent to make it sound this good.....

  • If it wasn't for the sun in the background that lady with the sash would just look retarded. Good thing the song rocks!

  • Thanks God,thanks shazam to tell me the name of this song.

  • great song and what legend mr green is!! guitar work!!!!!

  • @TheVicsnut: Indeed he was and it's so sad (and incredible twist in life) how one bad trip just blew it all away and he just left it all. Same with FM's rhythm guitarist Danny Kirwan who actually ended up homeless and on the streets later in life many years after leaving FM. I mean, imagine playing once for a band (and the 1968-70 lineup was considered to be the best FM lineup ever) now legend status, millions of records sold, and you are homeless on the street.Life is hard sometimes

  • love the crackle.....

  • so beautiful..........fleetwood mac have created some wonderful music :-)))))))))))

  • if god played guitar he would want to play like peter green

  • I love this record. It is one of my favourite Fleetwood Mac tracks.

I clearly recall it high in the charts at the end of April 1969, just when Leicester went to Wembley and were beaten in the FA Cup Final. What a downer for me!

1969 was my favourite music year though.

  • great memories though :-) and beautiful track

  • Sounds damn cool with the vinyl surface noise ;-)

  • could hardly hear the song for all the heavy scratching of the vynal man, otherwise a legend track!

  • moveing

  • so, this would be the sound of peter green's fleetwood mac?

im only 16 and trying to understand the two different sounds of fleetwood mac

  • its an interesting subject there are more than two differen tsounds of Fleetwood mac , keep looking and enjoy .

  • Yes this is the original and best Fleetwood Mac, before they went poppy.

  • thanks for posting this.....i have one special memory about this song....brilliant !!!

  • thanks for your comment --can't see any vids on your channel yet hope you make some good ones .

  • Thats harsh

  • your the shit for brains prick grow the fuck up. No one likes a person who posts shit like yours.

  • Well piss off and watch it then, junior. It's probably your level...

  • Although I found your comment about the hoff very amusing, it's rather unfair on trichoone who has spent time making this video..give posters some leeway, or better still..post your own video if you don't like this one.

    Peace.

  • A brilliant song. Even after all these years it still brings me out in goosebumps.

  • or is it monkeys feet

  • the green god !

  • tears

  • are they cats feet or pigs feet that are stamped in the sand please

  • this is the best song ever

  • I'm not a huge Fleetwood Mac fan but no doubting the eerie quality of this song. Simply magical.

  • Yes there is an errie quality in this song as if Peter Green is calling out for help.

  • Awesome song. I was lucky to get to see him and the Spinter group down here a few years ago.

    He's a legend.

  • It is too bad that Peter Green is not performing in the states. How was his guitar playing today compared to when he was with early Fleetwood Mac?

  • I'm not an expert on playing it butm, whilst maybe not what he once was, he was still a great Blues Guitarist from what I could tell.

It's quite remarkable really. My friends Dad worked in the nursing home where they treated him during hismental health problems and apparently he had to completely re-learn it when he got well as he had not played in years and years.

He clearly has a wonderful natural talent.

  • im his son , he is a shit head. i dont see fuck all of him , great fun

  • Oh man I love this song, too bad this recording kinda sucks.. sounds so dusty .. and yeah, I only found this track on a Greatest Hits record I got of them, but seriously.. that is one of my fave records, and this is my fave song!

  • One of the greatest songs of all-time.. Peter Green is fucking awesome!

  • Amazing Song!!

  • 1:30 is like hawaiiinnn beach music :D

  • Peter Green - Deadset Legend

  • Nostalgia in my pants.

  • Beautiful, sad song. And that guitar work is amazing - especially that last harmonic note :)

  • genius!

  • peter green one of the best musicians ever...

  • Ive only just discovered this song recently and its a gem,Peter Green, what a legend!!!!

  • Yeah I think this song could only be found on compilation albums which is a damn shame...

  • I have the 45rpm sitting in front of me. I purchased it while stationed in Holy Loch/Dunoon, Scotland in 1970. MAN OF THE WORLD was on the IMMEDIATE RECORD CO. LTD label. The flip side was the song"SOMEBODY'S GONNA GET THEIR HEAD KICKED IN TONIGHT" by Earl Vince and the Valiants. At the bottom of that side it says A FLEETWOOD MAC PRODUCTION. Both sides had 1969 on the labels. Record is still in sleve that has in print "Happy to be A part of the industry of human happiness."

  • keep hold of it my friend .

  • You guys are missed from Dunoon. The town had a great feel to it in the 70/80's with the Americans and Scots living together.

  • Yes! We had A great time there, even though the wind they called "The Hawk" came out of the Highlands and froze my ass on mail runs to Grenneck. We spent most of our liberty at the Paul Jones Pub in Dunoon. I shared A one room flat at 4 Brooklyn Place in Dunoon. I'd like to go back there but its A little pricey for an old retired Frito-Lay salesman that I am. There is only one month of good weather and thats in July. Thats when they have the COWEL GAMES there. Forgive my spelling.Damm YANKS we.

  • @surfside48 iv got the 45 as well ...somewhere, better have a look, just incase the wifes had a clearoot.bought mine oot of vinal villans in edinburgh, back in the 70s!

  • you are welcome it is a great song .

  • Elkie885 , I agree with your words, know how you feel as do I lots of times, a genius indeed, along with freddy mercury ..

  • much forgotten and neglected genius

  • true that

  • This song sums up exactly how I feel most of the time and the crackle on the vinyl recording only helps emphasise that

  • Makes two of us Elkie885, I would like it played at my funeral, a brilliant guy Stevie Nicks, along with freddy mercury..

  • Remember you can buy a turntable for nothing!

A project deck is just over a hundred pounds and sounds as good as any CD.

And vinyl is being given away - find a good dealer and you have much music.

  • sends a shiver down my spine every time i hear the introduction. beautiful.

  • Video complements the song's emotions just fine, without going too far - well done! Reminded of this one by TV tonight, docu on Peter Green, fascinating.

  • what a beautiful heart felt song yeah? You certainly cut to the chase with this one Peter!! I may even consider covering it? If you're lucky! Lol! Seriously tho' this tune cannot fail to make a person feel both good & melancholy, all at the same time! That is a talent by itself. Great song man. XXXX

  • I love the way you can hear the crackling of the vinyl

  • i know its so annoying, i mean what is the point !!

  • Anyone else noticed this is the only actual Green one on YouTube? All the rest are covers.

  • Yeah I've noticed that! Bit annoying when all the rest are covers that one does not give a crap about. Lol..

  • that could be true, but there is lots of places where you can get the orignal version without the vinyl sound ;).

    Thx anyway to the uploader!

Your pixelled face at the beginning of the video really scared me :p
