It wasn't that Danica wasn't being rude. She was expected to be interview by David Letterman not a hack host like Adam Sandler. Watching the interview, Sandler was stuttering throughout that segment. (He's a multi-millionaire actor doing crappy movies and for a sec he cant' even manage to conduct a 3-5 min interview?) I don't blame Danica for focusing more on the bulldog. (At least the dog didn't babble and stutter compare to that fraud guest host!)
