  • Only Canon can make this...

  • man, I just love watching AMV..

  • really dark and sinister video but technically cutting edge as B& H just this month 11/2010 listed a kit to shoot full HDSLR Video

  • Does anybody know? The Lucation is at the "Kunstwerk" Cologne?

  • really nice work and equip

  • Why would you spend 10000000 hours of more doing that in post ?

  • AMAZING! I can't wait to see it.

  • Is not a Canon 1DS Mark III is a Canon 1 Mark III (10 FPS)

  • ..and be just like every other video out there?

    someone is imaginative..

  • you are an idiot. Its art you dick. Whoever its stupid is an idiot.

  • Awesome!!

  • good work on sharing the behind screen for film school kids

  • what's the name of the song playing at the beginning?

  • Universal. And I can't find it anywhere (I want it!)

  • VERY COOL!

  • Is the video completed yet? I'm sure the post is going to be a bear... lol I love how the DSLR's are leveling the playing field on Really creative video production.

  • why not just use video lights?

  • "...you would need an insane amount of continuous light to push lumens that far into a scene. Using flash as a quasi-continuous light source lets you employ the same techniques to balance your flash with your ambient that we do for still photos. That is something you could not do if all of the light sources were of the true, continuous variety."

    - David Hobby

  • I guess I can see that in daylight but how about in shaded areas where you have more control over light? I guess I'm not seeing why diffusion panels or whatever wouldn't work. then again i come from using a load of canon 580's, light modifiers and reflectors (when there is sun to play with) when I work outdoors.

  • "Since you are turning the flash into essentially a continuous light source with the stop-motion technique, you end up with two kinds of "ambient" and a boatload of control between the two."

  • They're using photography techniques such as limiting depth of field, which means they stop down the aperture. They need much more light per shot to do that, which they can do with strobes without cooking the band.

  • to bad a 1ds3 isn't 10 fps

    good typo
