when you press down on the skin doesnt that hold the bar that holds the needles up and then the little tear drop just spins cause theres nothing for it to push up against it. so the bar that holds the needle doesnt get push at all and theres no kind of force for the needle to push down in to your skin
yes you did made the needle go up and down and not in circular motion,but the thing is that it may not work good enough.if you start tattooing you'll need the needle to hit harder forward so it will be able to penetrate the skin,your design is hitting harder backwards and only the metal pushes the needle forward.does that metal have the strength needed for skin penetration?if not,than the needle will bounce off the skin and leave scraches.I'll try to modify my rotary machine and will post a vid
Its a piece of bendy metal i bent into that shape. It allows the 'teardrop' spinning thing to move the metal up and down that makes the needle attached to it go up and down.
