@crystalis007 I believe that the sall hansen mega shine to coat is so much better! And if you use the deodorant as you would an average deodorant, applying it in the morning, then it lasts all day and reduces persperation :)
I don't understand why everyone raves about Seche Vite. Any top coat works fine. I actually love CQ's High Speed top coat. But I also add a couple layers of it two days after wear if the nail polish itself holds up well enough. Half the battle is a good, solid nail polish coat. If it's weak and thin, nothing's going to make it stronger.
your right.......we shouldn't have to "do something" to make a product work.......it should just work............that's my problem with a lot of products too:)
I have a seche vite topcoat and the thinner also produced by seche vite.. But I literally went through half bottle of the thinner in order to use up my topcoat and not have to throw and waste when it gets so think and gunky ... Seriously not so worth it. I'd suggest u to use a mini size seche vite topcoat and pour more topcoat in once u have finished the mini bottle. But I have switched to butter London top coat and Deborah Lippmann addicted to speed topcoat and both of them work like a charm
The metal x shadows are amazing! u still need to use a primer underneath but they give a beuatifull metallic finish. fusion goldis great buffed ovver the skin. there is one that is similar to shell cream colour base. It probabaly suks for those who dont know how to use it
And don't throw out the Seche Vite! It gets goopy because the solvents have started to evaporate. So you just need to add in more. Just get any nail polish thinner (not remover--it has to be thinner) and put a few drops in. I got mine for $5 from Sally's, but Seche makes a thinner called Seche Restore. You can use the thinner in polishes that are all gunky too. =)
Seche restore! :) u can get it at nail supply stores or etailers. Nail polish thinner isnt the same, u gotta use the seche. It works great tho-i love seche vite, and always keep a bottle of seche restore on hand. U only need a few drops too, so it lasts forever :) ps-new subscriber, loving your channel :)
i like the motion sense degree deoderant, as your body heats up the more it works & its way cheaper than the clinical crap! I like the out the door quick drying top coat.
I love seche vite too and mines the exact same! I put a tiny drop of nail polish remover in mines when it gets all thick and horrible to work with and it's good again. I'm with you though on saying there shouldn't be alot of special conditions to make the products we buy work! So annoying! x
For the Seche Vite, I was reading the little paper that came with it and they make a Seche Restore. It's a liquid that you put in the Vite to " not thin Seche Vite but rather replaces the key ingredients which may have evaporated over time.." It says to just add a few drops and roll the Vite around until it's good again. I am definitively getting myself some. Hope it works!
i used to use that deodorant and it just didnt work for me no matter what i did. i would still sweat buckets. i have actually tried all those extra strength ones and no go. i finally tried the secret ph balanced one and i still have a little sweat which maybe i will always have but it makes me smell fresh all day. maybe this one might work for u too. :)
Hi Crystal~I agree about the Seche Vite getting very gloppy. I add a few drops of nail polish remover to thin it out, but it's still very frustrating. I've heard Revlon 950 no chip top coat is pretty good, so I'll be giving that one a try.
For the deoderant, your supposd to put it on again the next day like you normally would. They say to put it on the night before because when you sleep your body temp is at its lowest and that gives the product a chance to absorb into your pores to help block sweat the next day, even if you shower or shave. Try it again, I'm sure you'll love it!
@BrownEyedGirl0506 ahhh ok i'm going to try using it at night and the morning since that seems to work for most. no wonder i was a bit stanky the next day without. HA!
@robinwhiffen NP remover is designed to break down polish. The ingredients in it are not found in the nail polish. Please use nail polish thinner. It's cheap and works great.
For super antiperspirant, I use the liquid Certain Dri at night, and in the morning I use a deodorant instead of an antiperspirant. I always had problems with sweat stains, and it's from the antiperspirant aspect of the product. I find this method works for me. No creepies!
For Seche Vite, buy Seche Restore. I guess you can use polish thinner, but I feel better using the matching products. Seche Restore is a bit expensive, but it lasts a long time, and it works. Thins the top coat.
I just wanted to say I love you and your videos. You're always so bubbly and fun and give great info. I totally gave maybellines colossal lash a second chance thanks to one of your other videos and it's my new fav after a long relationship with falsies didn't work out. Lol. Keep up the great work! :)
Had the same problem with sechvite top coat & my fave manicurist said she cleans polish brush with paper towel saturated w/ polish remover + adds tiny drop of remover to polish bottle & mixes with wood cuticle stick- really works! Hope this helps : )
i knew the sharpener would work because i had a eyeliner that i spent 8 dollars on and was amazing and it ran out so one of my siblings sharpened it so i could use it again and the thing is and is mainly wood or the outer thing and the very outer part is like the wood with some shiny hardening stuff on it
I feel you with the Sech Vite! The only thing that slightly works for me is pouring some nail polish remover in the bottle and shake it and it will last a little longer.
Oh and I got a huge bottle of Seche Vite in Cosmoprof. It's 4oz and comes with normal bottle (with top coat) you can refill. I paid around $20 for it, but you have to go with a licensed person who can shop there.
I don't know if you shop on ebay, but you can buy the big jugs there. Just look for someone with great feedback.
@crystalis007 Try Seche Restore or any other thinner too! Works great for any dried out nail polish. I had a bottle that just had some goo on the bottom, I added a bunch of thinner, and it's just like new.
i love the secret antipersperant! I just ignor the directions and apply it twice a day (when i wake up and before i go to sleep) all the women in my family use it and love it!
@twilightloversrule a lot of people are saying using it twice at night and in the morning works. i'm gonna try it because i got a three pack of the secret so two unopened ones are sitting in the cabinet. thanks!
ive tried several kiehl's products that were "made for my skin type" and i completely agree with you, i either saw no change whatsoever or in most cases it made my skin even more oily!!
I love your attitude in this video, totally agree about no one should have to do extra work/steps just to make a product work.Although I can understand putting an eye shadow base on to make sure eye shadow stays put.I know MaryKay makes great eye shadows that don't crease(at least they last all day for me) and Loreal makes great liquid eyeliner that last all day,I've been using it for the last 6yrs now.
I think I tried every underarm product known to man that just was a no go for me. Then the heavens shined on Certain Dri. Have you tried this product?? They they roll ons and sticks, AM and PM versions. I bought the PM one. It says to apply the night before. But the next day, I had to apply something else just incase, Arm & Hammer powder fresh stick. Listen, I am a sweater. When I have anxiety attacks I sweat and it never stops. Certain Dri worked like OMG. And it last a very long time.
Zoya sells a polish thinner to use with Seche Vite. It works great. I use the deodorant but just like a regular one in the mornings. It works well for me.
I have the exact same problem with seche vite. I solve the issue by starting to use a second bottle, and as the new bottle is getting used up, I pour more and more of the old bottle into the new bottle. On its own, the consistency of the old product is too thick to use, but when I pour it into a fairly new bottle and it mixes with the consistency of seche vite that hasn't thickened yet, it seems to be fine. So...I don't waste any product, but it does force me to always keep 2 bottles on hand.
Try Deborah Lippmann's 'Addicted to Speed' topcoat, it's similar to Seche Vite but better, the only thing that I don't like about it is that its $20, but you get through the whole bottle.
I may have a problem for your nail polish thickening. I have heard you can purchase nail polish thinner (not the same as remover), there is no where near me that sells it but you can try that if you can find one. Hope this helped. :D
Perhaps you could try de-potting the Seche Vite; instead of throwing away your current bottle when it gets too thick and tacky, drain the contents and clean off any residue with a nail polish remover, acetone or similar solvent. Then pour half of your new bottle of top coat into your cleaned bottle, seal it tightly and voila :)
I'm sweaty too and I used all those secret, dove and degree clinical but they don't work! I started using Mitchum and it's a life saver now! I use roll on and gel,so try it and you will see the results in a week, let's just say now imwont be afraid of wearing colors lol
I had the same issues with Seche Vite I gave up on it I now have been using for about a yr the Sally Hansen Mega Shine and the salley Hnasen Insta Dry Love the mega Shine best I also hear good things about one called Posche which is sold at Sally's it's suppose to be a Seche Vite total dupe.
I agree with you about the Lancome Doll Lashes mascara. I thought it barely did anything on my lashes. I even thought it was dried out, but I had just started using it. Waste of money. I bought the Maybelline Lots of Lashes Great Lash that you suggested (thanks for the tip about the heart) and I love it...goes to show that high end products aren't always the best.
This is the recent "solution" I have been implementing with my Seche Vite...basically I have two bottles going at one time. As soon as I get to that 1/2 way point...I start a new bottle. When my "new" bottle gets to the 1/2 way point, I combine bottles. This is working so far, but I don't have the thickening issues. Maybe different climates cause that issue?
I am not a nail polish bottle designer, but it seems a longer brush is in order :)
i think all top coats/clear polishes get all goopy by the time u use up 2/3 of the product.. i'm not sure..but maybe a thinner will work like what the others are saying? lmk!!
You need to set the Feline liner with a gel. I have several Feline pencils and I use either Mufe aqua eyes gel or ysl gel and it works. It is an extra step, but it's worth it.
The Secret Clinical deodorant did not work for me either. Just the way that you have to apply it turned me off and even more so when it actually 'abandoned' me! Lol!
regarding your seche vite: They have their own thinner. where i live its 5.99 a bottle and the thinner cost the same. it too comes in a glass container. check their website for more info. i get it here in Evansville IN at blondies. they recommend their thinner for that product.
For the Seche Vite top coat, you can try a nail polish thinner. Just a couple of drops should loosen up the formula while not causing it to lose its glossiness.
This is my favorite video from you. Right on with the seche vite. I buy two at a tine and then pour the new one in with the old. It thins it out a bit. Also, I know they make np thinner, you might give that a go.
So I have major problems with my armpits, and like you the secret clinical did not work for me, BUT I tried the secret antiperspirant/ deodorant in the aerosol can and it is AMAZING!! Its also really convenient because it takes like .5 seconds to spray it on your armpits. I just use it after my shower at night, and the next morning, and it keeps me feeling and smelling fresh all day. So I would definitely recommend for you to try out that!
get nail polish thinner! seche vite is my favorite top coat too and i can't live without it! trust me, a little bit of thinner and it will be good as new :)
The nail top coat SV sells a thinner to help I bought it but havnt tried it yet because I tried a new top coat and I love it even more..... its called out the door :)
I defeinitely use the Clinical Strength deoderants and use them just like the regular deoderants..apply after shower in the morning or at night. And I sweat A LOT too. Also, the Metal X shadows sucked the first time they came out and when I found out they didn't change the formula...I knew I'd have to pass.
Seche Vite sells "Seche Restore" (Top Coat and Laquer Restoration Thinner on Amazon for $5.00. They say you should use nail polish thinner (any brand I'm sure would work) not nail polish remover. Apparently, they are different.
you're so funny and smart!! I love watching your videos after a hard day of work! I thought I was the only one who really hated feline! it doesn't stay in place even with carbon on top!!
btw, I'd like to ask you a favor crystal! my girlfriends and I were talking about the difference betwen the carbon eyeshadow today and other from 3 years ago! what happen with the pigmentation?? do you know something??
@mmatamoni thanks, i'm not sure what is going on with carbon but it sure does seem dryer and not as pigmented as it was before. i started using a single lorac black shadow that reminds me of the old carbon a while ago. and the urban decay black shadow in the naked 2 palette is better too!
Loved the vid & the title! Yeah Seche Vite is my fav but it SUCKS that I can only get 2 @ most 2/3 through tops! I also love Feline but it SUCKS that it migrates. I've been wondering why so many people rave about it because of that. I doubt I'll repurchase even though it is great minus the migration! I wish they'd improve on that because I do really like it. : )
I totally agree about Feline! Have you seen that Urban Decay made Perversion a part of their permanent 24-7 pencil line? If you haven't tried it out, do it! It's sooooo black, it makes Feline look like a charcoal grey.
Ugh! I hate the doll lash mascara too! I've tried and tried and by the time I'm done trying it'll be time for a new one. Finally I just wiped the brush off and stuck it in the lashblast mascara and it worked pretty well
I watch a lot of reviews. And I've noticed a lot of people prefer drugstore mascara's. Or they compare the "higher" quality mascara's to drugstore and just prefer them better. Which is really awesome for me so now I know to kind of not get to whoopy for something more expensive. LOL
I have the same exact issue with Seche Vite! How annoying. Another thing, if I were you, I would return those Metal X shadows to MAC and get your money back (and let them know how dissatisfied you are with them). If its still in the packaging, I would definately not keep them and take those suckers back. Love your vids by the way!
@angels1jay i just got back from the post office i returned all the metal x shadows! i wrote on the return form that they CREASE HORRIBLY so they know thats why i'm sending them back. they were too expensive to keep and try to make work.
ABSOLUTELY. I totally agree! Why should I HAVE to take that extra step? I spent this money on this stuff, it should work WITHOUT me jumping through hoops. God, I love your videos. lol
I thought it was only my bottle or something so after buying SV a couple times same thing , it turns thick so I'm not sure why folks race abt it so much and I must admit I luv how fast it dries. I guess u will try thinner but like u said why should I have to do this? This product really gets a D grade. People should stop hyping it up I don't get it
I, like others, have used the Seche Vite 'thinner' stuff to make mine last longer ("sesh" is how you say the first word - and I'm only 'correcting' you because you weren't sure if you were saying it right lol. It doesn't bother me if you say it the other way or anything like that lol HUGS!!). And I'm so happy you were able to sharpen that pencil!! LOL xoxoxox. I don't have experience with the other products, so I can't help more than that lol XO!
Others have mentioned this, but I use the clinical strength deodorant during the summer and I just use it at night and then use my regular deodorant in the morning. It works pretty well for me. :)
Your so cute; love your laugh!! && yes you're right if we pay good money for makeup we shouldn't do extra work (setting an eyeliner) really?? Lol.. :)
I agree about the urban decay spray. It is very hit or miss with me. A couple times I used it I noticed a difference and most of e time it almost makes it worse. I think it's very circumstantial. I noticed it works best if you make sure to apply it before and after. I noticed when I dont apply it before it doesn't work. Also I spray it like 5-6 times before and after for it to work. To really cover the face. Hope this helps. Please let me know how it works :)
Heya, love your videos! With the Skindinavia, I've been spraying before and after makeup application with really good results. I use Seche restore (have a big bottle) for polishes and topcoats when they get really thick and gunky. Nothing more aggravating! For deodorant, Certain Dri is pretty fantastic. Put on at night like the Secret and it keeps me pretty dry and I can sweat like hell in the summer heat. Good luck!
@loulou9284 i'm gonna buy that seche restore since i will continue to buy the top coat. i am glad you said you like it cause i wanted to know if it was worth it before i got another product from them! certain dri doesn't work very well on me either....ugh i'm a hard sweaty case haha!
I am so glad I did not buy that MAC metal X shadow. I was going to buy the purple ( or plumish burgandy ) and for some reason was having problems with my credit cad, so they put it on hold for me. I got the issues with my card fixed that night... but I decided to go out on the MAC site and take a look at reviews and I saw sooo many bad reviews and people saying that it creased even with a primer.... etc. I like these sorts of videos, its nice to know which products people end up NOT liking.
I am so glad that you did this video! All we tend to see are the things that are great but come on, some things just don't work.....So for the top coat you need to get a nail polish thinner. I have had one for years and it makes old, thick, clumpy ones like new. Orly and Essie make one but I got a generic one at Sally's. Also, I love that deodorant but to be honest I have never read the box. I get the waterproof one and I use it just like any other. In the morning, HALF a click for each side.
@EndlesslyHopeful i'm gonna try that. your the second person that said they use it in the morning also. i got the three pack so i want to figure out how to make it work cause i have two i haven't even used.
I totally agree about Feline i seriously thought I was the only one who didnt like it! It is SUPER dark which I love but in the middle of the day when I check my makeup I have black liner smudged everywhere underneath my eye its horrible! Mac smolder or urban decay zero liner have never done this to me! But I'm really excited to try the urban decay perversion liner =) Its just as black as feline but with better staying power!
u do really good reviews...i have bought or not bought quite a few things based on ur reviews...i was about to buy that skindinavia mist...but i wondered how is a spray gonna stop my oilies..
I'm so glad you did this, you'll see people jumping through hoops to get stuff to work, I don't care, if it is expensive you shouldn't have to do stuff to get the product to work and even if it is from the drugstore if it doesn't work after I try it 2-3 times I won't bother. Like I try to use up what I can but it is frustrating when you have to do a lot of work to get a 20 dollar mac item to work for you.
I couldn't get that deodorant to work for me whatsoever. IT SUCKS.

ive tried several kiehl's products that were "made for my skin type" and i completely agree with you, i either saw no change whatsoever or in most cases it made my skin even more oily!!

you should try the kiehl's lip balms
they are amazing

I love your attitude in this video, totally agree about no one should have to do extra work/steps just to make a product work.Although I can understand putting an eye shadow base on to make sure eye shadow stays put.I know MaryKay makes great eye shadows that don't crease(at least they last all day for me) and Loreal makes great liquid eyeliner that last all day,I've been using it for the last 6yrs now.

have you tried placing the bottle upside down? (nail polish)

EyeWearMakeup 1 month ago
@EyeWearMakeup That's good to know. I wonder if anyone has asked Seche Vite about the problem? Maybe they'll try fixing it.
makeupbyjessw 1 month ago
Try Deborah Lippmann's 'Addicted to Speed' topcoat, it's similar to Seche Vite but better, the only thing that I don't like about it is that its $20, but you get through the whole bottle.
yakidelight 1 month ago
I may have a problem for your nail polish thickening. I have heard you can purchase nail polish thinner (not the same as remover), there is no where near me that sells it but you can try that if you can find one. Hope this helped. :D
AustralianMissy 1 month ago
Wow, all this time I thought I wasn't screwing the top tight enough on the seche vite and causing it to dry out, lol, thanks for enlightening me!
glamorousintentions 1 month ago
Perhaps you could try de-potting the Seche Vite; instead of throwing away your current bottle when it gets too thick and tacky, drain the contents and clean off any residue with a nail polish remover, acetone or similar solvent. Then pour half of your new bottle of top coat into your cleaned bottle, seal it tightly and voila :)
And as always love your energy, love your vids!!

I so agree with the Seche Vite it gets thick and goopy

I am not a nail polish bottle designer, but it seems a longer brush is in order :)
bravegirldana 1 month ago
i think all top coats/clear polishes get all goopy by the time u use up 2/3 of the product.. i'm not sure..but maybe a thinner will work like what the others are saying? lmk!!

You need to set the Feline liner with a gel. I have several Feline pencils and I use either Mufe aqua eyes gel or ysl gel and it works. It is an extra step, but it's worth it.

regarding your seche vite: They have their own thinner. where i live its 5.99 a bottle and the thinner cost the same. it too comes in a glass container. check their website for more info. i get it here in Evansville IN at blondies. they recommend their thinner for that product.

for the seche vite you can buy nail polish thinner! if you put a couple of drops in it itll be like new! but dont use nail polish remover
mintymomo 1 month ago
For the Seche Vite top coat, you can try a nail polish thinner. Just a couple of drops should loosen up the formula while not causing it to lose its glossiness.
soffy2002 1 month ago in playlist Reviews

Seche Vite solution--add nail polish thinner. I've made mine last for a really long time just by adding polish thinner. =)

Good luck!
loulou9284 1 month ago
@loulou9284 i'm gonna buy that seche restore since i will continue to buy the top coat. i am glad you said you like it cause i wanted to know if it was worth it before i got another product from them! certain dri doesn't work very well on me either....ugh i'm a hard sweaty case haha!
crystalis007 1 month ago
I am so glad I did not buy that MAC metal X shadow. I was going to buy the purple ( or plumish burgandy ) and for some reason was having problems with my credit cad, so they put it on hold for me. I got the issues with my card fixed that night... but I decided to go out on the MAC site and take a look at reviews and I saw sooo many bad reviews and people saying that it creased even with a primer.... etc. I like these sorts of videos, its nice to know which products people end up NOT liking.
JbabyOGPLove 1 month ago
I am so glad that you did this video! All we tend to see are the things that are great but come on, some things just don't work.....So for the top coat you need to get a nail polish thinner. I have had one for years and it makes old, thick, clumpy ones like new. Orly and Essie make one but I got a generic one at Sally's. Also, I love that deodorant but to be honest I have never read the box. I get the waterproof one and I use it just like any other. In the morning, HALF a click for each side.

I totally agree about Feline i seriously thought I was the only one who didnt like it! kADiEbAbEz7 1 month ago
