@flyingpowerlogitech Dude, david guetta is the most talented electronic music artist around. And I am a faggot, I would totally let him slide his cock up my ass.
@roboedar yes i did its not hard to do at all, makes a huge difference although not quite as nice as the stock 2500 pads, but much better than the stock pads on the 1000
@mcbublick dont forget ur listening to it in completely raw form, not mixed down, through old bose monitors recorded with just the little mic on an old digital camera
Stupid question though, I've been playing around in differrent programs and made beats...And looking at a MPC, any good way to try out the basic of keypushing on a program for the PC? =)
i see alot of people buy records and use them to sample stuff from them and then make a beat. my question is: is it possible to sample from mp3, to chop what you like and then load it into the mpc?
thats exactly what i do, i use a wave editing program called goldwave and chop up mp3s and or wav files. u can zoom in really far and chop it perfectly where u want it to avoid pop sounds. try it out.
if u use mp3's why didnt u just use a mpd/midi controller with software? im not questioning u using the mpc. im thinking of getting a 1000 myself because ive been using fl for awhile. im just wondering the benefit of using an mpc with mp3's over an mpd. let me know wats up. thanks
i like the freedom that comes from using the mpc. i started out as a drummer and with the mpc i can really feel the rythym so to speak. i have trouble drawing out drum and melody patters my beats dont sound as good. its all a matter of preference, but i couldnt do the kind of stuf u see in the videos without an mpc.
thanks my man. best answer ive ever got regarding my question. ppl tend to get technical n shit. well im convinced. good lookin out. one more question. how much do the 1000's go for? ive researched and seen a bunch of prices
a brand new one goes for about $1000, i got mine on ebay for $600, u really want to get one that has the expanded RAM which is 156MB i think but not sure. that way u can load a lot more stuff at one time. u also gotta get a good sized memory card (CF card) so u can put a shit load of samples on that thing. if u have the money, get the 2500 its amazing i wish i had one.
@cpepe15 u can use software with a lot of different controllers like a midi keyboard or an mpd. i used software for about 6 years. 3 of it with a midi controller. its nice and i like it. now i got a 1000 and i absolutely love it. the benefit is the overall feel of that machine. its rock solid and its all in one. u can transport it and it has a really good sound. i would never give it away. its ma baby. but u better use with the jjos software. i got the os2 xl. with that its one hell of a machine
@Moemors i got the OS1 just so i could keep my old programs. i also got the pad sensor upgrade which is a MUST. u get so much more feel and it doesnt take that long to put in at all. i knew i had to get it once i fucked around on a 2500 for a while. those have amazingly sensitive pads and the pad upgrade for the 1000 gives u that although not quite as nice, but much better than the old pads.
seriously whats wrong wit people, i mean he tells u the name of the sample anyway, but if u didnt know to begin wit, u prolly shouldnt ven be fuckin wit music, nice video
the bassline sample is obviously from lou reed's "walk on the wild side", which was used by a tribe called quest as many recall. the melody loop was done by a buddy of mine with a keyboard.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!
well i played real drums before i got my mpc so that definitely helps. one day i was just messing around and i layed a bunch of kicks hats and snares in a way that would be easy to play a bunch of different beats and then i just kept practicing from there, message me and i'll show u how i lay the drums out
Wow dog, you got that freehand shit down on lock, and that lou reed sample is the shit, such a good song, i know what the name is of it, but i aint gonna say it cuz that would ruin your beat in the makin, but a couple of people used that for a sample, check out A Tribe Called Quest - Can i kick it, they have that sample, but that shit your friend did with tha keyboard is fire, you should make something out of just that instead of the sample one time, good beat fam, check out my vids
thats a good skill, to be able to freestyle, but when your mixing its good to have everything separate so that you can adjust it separately, props anyway
its hooked up to a digital usb interface which controls the sound on my computer and goes out to speakers. i open up a sound recording program to hear the mpc on the computer. that way i can record whatever whenever.
cubase sx3 is the program its like pro tools. it will work with anything you just have to have the right inputs into your computer. i use the digital SPDIF input cuz it sounds the best see just the one cord in the back of it.
sick fam, you need to do some production for me! I got a HUGE youtube following, so joining my team of producers(ranging from the US to the UK) would bring alot of channel views your way. Let me know something!
Okay...now this is some real heat....and freestyling it..now thats madd flava!! fuck that dude "cashmoneybuddy"....anyway you can freak that mpc to fit your style, DO IT!
not sure what u mean, are u referring to the color of the mpc? if u are theres no difference at all really. yes you can preview the samples without putting them on pads. i just load a bunch at a time and then go to the program menu and just turn the wheel and keep hitting the pad til i find the one i want.
