Reagan was the exact opposite of the Republican Party today. he was not angry, he never called his opponents names, and he was always willing to compromise to get a deal. Oh, well... I, believe it or not, remember this speech. I was working at Firestone in Decatur, IL and got into an argument with a fellow worker when Reagan won. He was a big Liberal who, not only believed everything bad about Reagan on television, and I remember there was always a lot, but felt the American people had showed their ignorance by voting for Reagan.
