I have always loved pulling, but lately Ive been getting the itch to try and get into it at the street stock level, but I was wondering if anyone might know the cost to build up a truck for a class like this one?
ya it might rev but gas is so 60-90s new decade better and more reliable power source with hell of a lot more torque and street legal ya again gas is junk
I grew up on truck pulling. Back in the late 70's, early 80's. My dad drove a truck named "Bad News". I remember indoor stadiums where the sound just vibrated in your seat. We traveled all over the country. Sometimes traveled with other pullers. It was the life. I tell these stories to my boys, but they can't possibly understand what it was really like.
I did that a lot a few years ago too...i liked the saturday pulls in one town, and sunday pull a few towns over. Lots of fun travelling with the other pullers. We didnt do any indoor stuff though.
Alot of ppl use Hemi motor's in their trucks though, so even though it may not be a Dodge body the heart of it is still a Dodge since they put Hemi's in them, also Modifieds use Hemi's even more. There is this modified tractor called, "Funny Farmall" if you haven't seen it pull you are truly missing something awesome, in the past he had 3 Hemi's in it, and was beating ppl with 4 big block chevy's. And not just beating them but wasting them, lol. Look it up, driver is Ken Veney.
I feel sorry for you guys having to pull that pos elminator sled that thing used to be top sled but i value my life when i see it at a track these days

@ScottCful that guy had just put those tires on that day, so they were set correctly, thats why the rims were spinnoing inside the tire
