I think people get confused with Christian band and Christians in a band. Christian bands are the bands that have songs about God and Jesus where as Christians in a band have songs about other things but they still have their faith. Being Christian and playing music doesn't make you a Christian artist.

@Duhast111 Yeah, it sucks what happened with them but I met their old drummer, bassist and guitarist a while back and those dudes were super cool and down to earth. Saud wasn't too friendly - he wasn't a dick but he wasn't super nice or anything. When it comes down to it; you just have to look at the lyrics and see what they say. I realized that they weren't Christian and I felt a little betrayed and when they said "the real TCA is about to surface" when they got new members. Bummed me out alot.

@Theshemproductions I have read the BOOK and I know that Jesus is God in man flesh but without Christ you wouldn't be able to enter the Kingdom. Which is why I stand where I say that you can have songs about God like TCA and not be a Christian band or you have bands like Saving Grace or For Today that have songs about Jesus being Lord and King. I may not know everything in the Bible but I know what I'm saying is completely truthful. I think you should re-evaluate your statements, friend.

@Duhast111 Actually, there was no drama. The guys who left decided that they didn't want to play music for a living and went on with their lives. I know TCA said on their Myspace that they were a Christian band but Mattie from For Today told them "You are not a Christian band. Your songs are not about Jesus" and he's absolutely right. They had Christian members but most of them aren't. I'm pretty sure that Saud, the singer, is Jewish.

A modern core breakdown is when the guitars drop all melody for rhythm; usually accompanied by a half time drum beat that follows a similar (but often different) polyrhythm. Complicated to explain, easy to hear. Sorry, but none of these examples are breakdowns. Great bands though
