This demonstration of an R/C aircraft landing with one wing strongly supports the possible validity of the Vid showing a full-scale Aerobatic plane actually doing a very similar manouver ... It can be done if the skill of the pilot and some strong fate/luck are running high.
@hammerogod Certainly not! The other (fake) vid shows the plane landing on its wheels, and during the spin, the remaining wing is on the bottom. Those 2 things are impossible (not to mention the deceleration time after landing which is way too short).
Thank goodness for the camera, cause it would be tough to believe this pilots skill/cool head if you couldn't see it for yourself. A lesson to all pilots, never give up till the plane stops moving.. Very nice work...
I can assure this is genuine footage. The plane easily has enough power to fly knifeedge as it did. A full scale plane would be able to do the same except for two things. 1. The power to weight ratio must be high enough and 2. The ailerons need to be independent from one another so that when one wing goes the other wing/aileron can still function with control.
@datzfast Not true. Don't trust what you read on the Internet, you should have learned that by now. Funny that you would think that your proof is "look it up," No self-respecting scientist would reference something like that as "proof." That's actually sort of funny, and cute. But hang in their. Self discovery and growth must be worked on a daily basis if we are to grow in this life.
@datzfast If that isn't the hydrant pissing on the dog. Look in the mirror. That was exactly my point. Looking something on the Internet as "evidence" is laughable, you armchair scientist.
@datzfast Sorry, this kind of discussion is a waste of time with people of your intellectual basis. Sorry, but I am going to discontinue my YouTube notification and I will not even be even checking or responding to your comments. Not worth the time. Sorry, bud.
Great flying chap!!! I've seen the spoof vid with the full size plane that loses a wing and that's quite entertaining too. I watched that one and though, i'd bet I could fly my Yak down with one wing but i'd be too chicken to try. No need now, you've prooved it can be done lol. Well done that man :)
Kathynaomi do you mind captioning the video right? Just put kit plane. It's not too hard. Ohh... i see i see.... you just want a million people watching your clip. What a nerd!!!
Now that's skill, and real. It kind of reminds me of the so-called "amazing one wing landing" video (also under so many other names) that so many people said was fake, and other people claimed to have proof with video counterpoints as proof - and yes, even I thought that one was a fake.

All it needs a wing for is stabilization. Otherwise, forget the wing, make a bigger engine & see how fast the missile can go!

No, not good piloting. Its physics of a toy plane versus a real one. Would be great if a real plane could fly like that, but it cannot.
