I liked this; too. You are right b/c I know there are some really wealthy people that didn't go to college. LOL! They are not even celebrities; either. You are right. A college education is and can be an important thing to have; though. Once I get my high school diploma;etc. I want to and planning on going to college. I want to take up nursing=CNA, LPN, and even RN. I want to take up something else also b/c I get bored easily & don't want 2 B stuck doing the same thing 4ever;etc. I got U.Thanks!

I think going to school is necessary. There are a lot of jobs I would love to do but I can't because I don't have a master's degree. I feel like a BA or BS is the equivalent of a high school degree now -- it doesn't really mean anything.

Education is important because it makes you a critical thinker, to me, that is the most important component. I will likely be in school, in some form, throughout my life. The more you learn the more you realize that there is so much more out there.

There are some famous people who were successful without having gone to college. My thing is that some of the things they make us take in college is pretty unnecessary. In an ideal situation you should only have to take classes from your major because that's mainly all most people are going for anyway.

Yeah, I know what you mean. However, I also know it's important to have that education to fall back on. You can loose your looks, they can take the house and the car, but they can never take or repo your education. lol

Now TRUE EDUCATION isn't defined by what we learn in institutions. And Elementary school is a drastically diffrent story. I often find myself having to deprogram my children when they come home, if you know what I mean.

Get a degree to open up certain doors. But it is more like TRAING than actually EDUCATING. Education encompasses ALL aspects of life, not just JOB info.

Education! This is my thing. Sure you all know I am a teacher so I can give an inside perspective. STANDARD EDUCATION is absolutly a commidity. The degree's we get are simply tools that "MAY" aid us in receiving a higher pay grade. Period! Especially in college. They have you focus on ONE distinct area, in prep for a specific Occupation. After Graduation you nothing else but that JOB. You are taught how to be WORKERS.

I am getting a formal education at the moment.I do not believe it is A absolute Must!I am about to graduate and I still need spell check like a mug...but anyways, if you read Rich Dad Poor Dad by robert keyosaki (spell check)you Girls will meet right in the middle. Schools dont teach you what you really need to succeed.U will graduate and have to take seminars and workshops concerning what your interest is.But I love learning so I dont Mind! oh and it does feel good to look for jobs w/a degree

you are exactly right on all points. Yes, I have Rich Dad Poor Dad, it's my husband's absolute favorite book, he recommended it to me years before we wer married. I read half of it and became disinterested. maybe I just wasn't ready for the topic. I'm sure I'll revisit it one day. thanks for watching and commenting and congrats on graduating soon.

You two should make videos together more often. How much is the starting salary for someone with a associate degree? $35,000 is not bad. Atleast that is a good start. YOu can eat comfortable with that salary.

lmbo @ being at the spades table, lol. I believe education and degrees are good but experience and common sense triumphs over degrees. So many times, I've seen people with PhDs not know how to do the simplest tasks. Some people just can't apply what they learned. And most people get jobs that have nothing to do with their career path.

I'm 19 yrs old Im going to a community college and looking to transfer to a 4yr school. You are so right education is important, yet there are people that go and they are ummmmmmm let's just say dont act like they have a education. Ya know what I mean. But congrats on going to school.
