Besides Diaz was around 20 when he started with UFC. Since then he's evolved into a better fighter. He lost some split decisions to Sherk, Sanchez and Pariysan, which is nothing to sneeze at when you're 20 years old. He probably couldn't beat the GSP 5 round takedown, but could stand and bang with the best of them.

It's great to build up a win streak and make high light reels for your spank bank when he's fighting a middle weight like Matt Lindland. Or someone with the " vast skills " like a Hong Man Choi. There's another video of Dana explaining why Nick isn't currently welcomed in his company. I don't know if he has a list of reasons why. Correct. All the way. We haven't seen it. He hasn't fought Kos or Fitch. But he's fought Diego and Karo. And his flexibility and athleticism wasn't enough to keep him from being beaten. While he's gotten better, so has everyone else. So I don't see why Kos or Fitch couldn't beat him up on the ground for 15 minutes.
