White male average height is 5'10". At 6'1" you are in the 95th percentile and indeed would be a "giant" for bodybuilding. It's much harder to "fill out" a tall frame obviously. Most BBs are 5'4-5'10". And since the judge's table is often at or below the stage floor, you would seem even taller.
