Lol...Curtis always wants to be the smartest guy around. Easy to call people worms for spotting weakness in a crew you apparently like. First, breaking a connection; standard safety procedures to use 2 sets of tongs. Second, Tailing pipe; standard safe procedure to use a tail rope. Third, very safe practice of PPE usage to wear Sunglasses in the middle of the night? Maybe on rigs you worked on. Why bash people for spotting flaws in procedure?

@texxasblood1836 i feel you on that one but sometimes it better to be safe then sorry. I worked on a drilling rig with the driller on ICE and dude always was fucked up on something and we had people get hurting left and right and our safety people would never come out since we was midnights...

Sup my man i would not go back i loved every sec of working on the rig up till the day i got hurt saving the worms life. I would go back out there in a sec but choice to go back to college then maybe after that ill go back. Looks good to me,My experience is worked all over the USA and worked in the middle east. Worked my way up food chain to directional driller.Worked on 1000 HP to 3000HP rigs. These guys did great.Rig looks better than half the rigs i have been on.

I mean whats poor about the performance? from slips to slips its 2 minutes and 38 seconds for the connection, nothing wrong with that on a 1500 HP rig? you see hands working their asses off taking care of their rig before and after the connection, they arent on the cell phone or sleeping...rig looks good nice iron, fresh paint, PPE being worn, everything safe...what did you see so poor about the performance?

@derrickhand301 whats so poor! who the hell taught you worm to brake pipe with the table, never seen a snub break, you will and some one dies and torque the pipe with one set? wash off the string or sledge it out of the hole, and both sets of tong and as for me 20 years in the anadarko basin, 16 years chain and motors, 4 derrick and driller, the rig is clean but a scrub brush never made a roughneck! put that super back on worm corner before he kill a whole crew!

I´m a mexican roughneck working for canadians, the rig is from USA, and i saw a sticker that said: "no worms allowed", i asked a canadian but say it was a yankee saying, what does it means? I think i heard thatword in the 1st and 2nd song.

rotary table turns the kelly bushing that has the kelly through it. Top drive is an electric motor that is hung from the block. Has hydraulic bells and tends to make lazy roughnecks. canrig DOT com for top drive info

on a td the elevators latch themselves..you drill with stands not jts. Elevators float to the derrick man and the number 1 reason...NO SHEPARDS STICK

i havent been roughnecking long so i have no clue what a shepards stick is.drilling with stands=less connections but our driller doesnt use the link tilt to latch for us.plus tripping pipe for 12 straight on a 24k plus hole and changing from 6 5/8,5,4 and bha im pissed out tired at the end of a day.

No doubt. I have a degree in computer science and I make more roughnecking 7 on and 7 off. I still do computer work the week I am off but no where close to what I make with just bottom hole and per diem...not to mention the 100 hr work week...hella OT
