Anne Hathaway if you are going to remake the film. Lindsay Lohan would be Ok if you are going to stick to the original conception, which had Marilyn Monroe as Holly. When you watch the old movie you can see it was written for Marilyn and imagine how good she would be in it. The fact that Audrey, a totally different actress made it her signature role is a remarkalbe achievement. But it would have been the height of Marilyn's career as well.

I went to NY city last summer (it was my first visit) and I was two place to visit first: The Dakota Building for the memory of John Lennon, and the Tiffanys, I had wishing see Audrey Hupburn taken her brakfast in from it, but she wasn't there :-( but it was so magic, it was like she and he (Lennon) was still there.

The only thing CLOSE to the 1980's you might be remembering is the song "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by the group "Deep Blue Something" in 1995. (Look it up on here if you don't remember it)

This movie is a CLASSIC and Hepburn said that the beginning was the hardest thing she ever had to do by kicking "Cat" out of the cab. She loved animals and hated having to do it....
