My teacher says if I didn't start talking when I forget a sign then she would have thought I was deaf. some of the signs change depending in what state you are in. I am learning on my own and have started watching a lot of videos on signing and I am working on my signing vocabulary. It would be nice to practice with someone if they are willing to take the time with me. @iamhisbeloved7 I would like to meet you (video chat) and learn more. Great video btw.

  • @FanboyAtLarge I believe it is Matthew 25:23. :) Loved seeing that question!

  • I like seeing you sign. I am just learning sign language, but I never get to practice with anyone. So I just basically practice signing by myself. How long have you been signing?

  • I'm in college right now. My ultimate goal is to be a translator/interpreter. For how many languages? Right now it's about 6. I'm ambitious, I know. But my first step is ASL. Right now, I'm just beginning, but I've found that signing songs is helping me learn easier. Thank God for Youtube.

  • @queenofchikens OMG. Me too.

  • @queenofchikens That's an awesome goal! My passion is languages too! I love sign language, Spanish, and know some German and am currently learning Arabic. Good luck with your endeavors!

  • I am trying to learn some sign language through youtube and I don't know how well it is working lol. Where do you work? and I can't take a class at my university since its for that major only, but I really want to learn it. Any suggestions on what I can do to learn it without a class??

  • damn

  • To iamhisbeloved - I love this video! I love your expressions- it helped me to remember to watch your face and not your hands- it really does help!

To everyone saying "i want to learn sign language" DO IT! I waited FOREVER thinking it was hard and would be a long hard journey- but I am on Day 2 of ASL 101 and I understood the gist of her whole conversation there! Yeah I didn't get all of it, but thats kinda the point of the signs is as a whole and not word for word. Just do it. its worth it.

  • I want to learn to sign sooo bad it looks fun and interesting! :]

  • Hi.. uumm can you teach me how to sign? :)

  • it also helps to learn if you look up the signs to a favorite song of yours, and sign along with it, and just keep doing that with different songs

  • i didnt meen to be rude.. you are so damn cute k lol

  • so hot... yet this sniffling worries me. cocain hmm.

  • @miqbelism haaaha. No, no, no. The sniffling is like a silence filler, like ummm, but i guess i do it when i sign...weird. I don't do it anymore though. Heheh. But yeah I noticed that too.

  • too pretty

  • lol thats wonderful your learning sign language, ive been signing for 12 years im officially 21 but will turn 22 this june, anyway signing is very easy hard at first but eventually you will get used to it

  • This is awesome! I am now become interested in ASL but there's nowhere to learn ASL in my country, too bad. And I'm interested in so many language such as Enlish, Spanish, Russian and German. But there's no other language like sign languages. So I'ma try practising this for sure, but not right now.

  • Hi I am learning ASL and it is so difficult ...

  • im taking ASL 2 in school now :)

  • @CoolerthenU0123 blessings on your journey! its fun!

  • @iamhisbeloved Hi!! You are so pretty and you are so good at ASL. I am only 12 years old and i am getting the hang of sign language. i know how to spell things out and i know the chorus to beautiful by Christina A. lol I really wanna know my sign name. my name is Naomi Taylor. When i get older i would like to study asl

  • @lttlerascal44 Go for it! I believe you can do it if you focus on it! :)

  • @CoolerthenU0123 I take ASL in school also! I love it!

  • Hey I am Deaf, but I am also a student. I am the only person in my college who is Deaf, learning ASL for myself. Everyone wants to somehow work for the Deaf. Interpreters or other. I really love your positive attitude, you keep up the good work! You are right. Studies show that 90% of ASL is learned outside the classroom. There are also ASL films now, and DVD with stories from the library. I don't reccomend the ones that directly teach ASL. You can't learn how to pick up on ASL that way.

  • @mogjohns1 Thanks for saying hi.

you are the only deaf? Wow.

    Thanks for the encouragement!!

  • Yep, other than the teachers, they are all Deaf. We have a very small program like 200 students. And our classes are held at the local Deaf school. This is currently the only college ASL program in the USA to do this! So we are lucky to be able to get out there directly with the Deaf community! :)

  • @mogjohns1- where can u get asl flims and what r they called? can u buy them off line or in store. I am a student learning ASL and I want to keep practicing then I can understand more of deaf people stories. :)

  • I took ASL for three years in high school and am taking more classes in college!! I am a "Deaf Studies/Sign Language Interpreting" major and LOVING IT!! keep up the good work :)

  • beautiful & smart.

  • @vercoldpalkha hey, thank you ;)

  • @iamhisbeloved7 are you deaf yourself?

  • @yungtwistproduction no, i am hearing.

  • youre cute :)

  • IM DEAF TOO....IM HAPPY YOU LEARN SIGN LANGS MAKE ME PROUD TO YOU :)

  • I agree. I'm taking my second semister of ASL and people have been suprised i learned so much in my first semister because i chat with the deaf. my best friends mom is deaf and i help her out all the time. a good way to go out and practice is by going to deaf events. never be afraid to ask to go slow or sighn/ fingerspell again. my friend who is deaf, she's a wonderful teacher. i didn't know the sign for microwave so i had a puzzeled look and imitated the sign and she fingerspelled it for me.

  • You need to practice ASL grammar not just signing English

  • it nice sign cutie

  • i want to learn sin i

  • I just finished my second semester of ASL this spring and I won't be able to take the 2nd ASL class until the year after next. I would love to keep practicing. I love learning this language and am hoping to become a teacher for deaf children. I would jump at the opportunity to learn more and become more experienced with the language :)

  • i liked your video. im hearing and learned asl at work. i know enough to get by but still kinda slow and totally grammatically wrong. but if ur ever looking for someone to practice with. sometime i wish i had someone to ask the meaning of a sign cause it can change the meaning just by missing one word!

  • hey that nice asl sign lauguage is cool i like this one. vp 978-208-4455

  • Hi! I'm HOH. For a while, I was speech-impaired, too, because of hypertension. However, blood pressure medication is helping. While I couldn't voice, my signing took off, because I got a LOT of practice! I would love to sign with you! Have a super day, yourself! :-D

  • you are really pretty . im hard of hearing and i attend a deaf school. it would be cool to meet !

  • I want to learn too! I am learning from books and youtube. Thank you for the video. A couple months ago I would have understood nothing but understood quite a bit more. Whats the secret in finding deaf people to talk with, they are hiding!

  • @carolanniewho Search the Net for "ASL social deaf coffee" and search for deaf churches in your area. Deaf churches minister to the deaf AND their families, so you will often get a sermon with voice interpretation. Lots of deaf to meet at church and socials! Happy hunting!

  • I'm learning ASL this semester and I instantly fell in love with it! I have a growing passion for it.. hopefully I will be able to some sort of deaf ministry =]

  • i'm deaf girl from belgium. I understand you. flemish language little the same as asl. Great job! You can!! ;) Love Asl <3

  • You did a beautiful job! I am so jealous!!

  • wow the 1st time i watched this a few months ago i didnt really understand anything but now a few months later after practicing and learning im getting better at my receptive skills....please watch my asl song Naturally i interpretted by selena gomez

  • i really want to start learning ASL but do not know where to start do you have any suggestions?

  • @turtlefreak94 Any community college or university in your area!

  • You should give a warning that it's a pretty girl teaching... makes it hard to focus :)

  • @MirandaMoriconi go to asldeaffrined im (HOH) deaf but i can voice too

  • i am really happy that you are trying to learn asl as well! :)

i know ASL (american...) and MSL (mexican...)

look like more people want to learn sign language for communicate with deaf people.

I am proud of what they do this! :D

  • One of my best friends married a deaf girl. I think it's pretty sweet that someone would learn to sign for someone else. Stefan Lefors (an old Quarterback for Louisville) was also an inspiration in my desire to learn ASL

  • I really want to learn ASL but I'm kind of weary of learning things online and doubt that my college has a course in it which kind of sucks... Any tips? Sounds kind of odd to say I'm looking for a deaf person, haha. Anyway, just thought I'd letcha know that you're an inspiration! :}

  • check under communicative disorders..I thought my school didnt have sign either but it was under that...my teacher is trying to get it put into the language category because it's not a disorder

  • Oh! Thanks, I'm going to check that out tomorrow! Kind of ridiculous that it's considered a disorder, that does need to be changed.

  • I like this a lot! I'm not studying ASL formally but I'm trying to pick up bits and pieces here and there. I learned some new things just watching your video here. It's good to see other people who enjoy ASL. :)

  • that was pretty impressive signing for just a semester of ASL.

I'm taking ASL 2 this year! so exciting!

  • Hi! I enjoyed watching you sign, you're good! My name is Margot, i just finished taking ASL 1 and cant wait to start ASL 2!! :) nice to meet you!

  • this is awesome! the birds sound amazing too!

  • Hey, you did a great job! I am going to school to become an interpreter =] I live in Kentucky, do you live close? Send me a message sometime and we'll chat. I also noticed you know the same Father I know =] Ttyl

    Britty
