Some of the best inventiveness I've seen from the point of design, nice balance and variation........too often not the case. I liked the flowers very much, if there is difficulty in this style of work it seems to be finding leaf designs that dont end up looking unconvincing Congratulations guys and also for the great salsa band............who were they?
Hi there I just wanted to say thank you again for all your help. I actually used some ideas from this video on my wade I just made. Feel free to check out my videos page to see a slide show of my saddle. I'd like to know what you think
Hi Jess, The skirts measure 28 inches after they are blocked and formed to the bars of the tree. I make ladies saddles a little shorter for lighter weight or as requested. KV
Thanks for the info. I'm also making a wade saddle right now, the skirts will be around 31" long, seems to be as short as I can get it, Do you think that is too long for most horses?
if the skirts are blocked and formed so that they dont bind on the horses back 31 inches is not too long, most saddle blankets are 32 inches so it will still have padding, but thats getting a littl far back over the horses kidneys, thats why they need to be blocked and formed up or flared up. Especially for the shorter back Quarter Horse. I am working on putting together a Saddle Making DVD, I hope to have done in the very near future. Hope this info helps. KV
I have just begun admiring leather carving; thanks for the lovely video. Your work is beautiful :)

You answered a lot of questions I've had on exactly how a saddle is put together! It's amazing they don't cost more than they do!
