Thank you. The top tower and solid mounts were off when we shot this vid (it was a quick bit for a promo) but there had do be a lot of serious chassis mods to get the car to quit handling like a fish out of water.
@10nocomment01 If you want all out traction with less comfort - go for solid. If you want a nice daily driver with some performance +"s to it, keep the sock mounts and get a torque dampener for the top of the engine.
Solid mounts are a rough ride... everything vibrates, you spin tires a lot, every jumpy movement is felt etc. The factory mounts are lowsy - Colt Pull Test video shows how much movement is in the factory mounts and they were not worn at all.
@merrillperformance Thnks for the tips u guys should put a DIY vid when u get the chance. going to go clean my TB and adjust timeing (car started to sputter n spit when it idles)
@10nocomment01 Right now we have a ton of DIY and info posts all over the place and are working on consolidating most of them onto "The Forum" (MerrillPerformance . com/forum) as well as our website where there are a few other how-to's (MerrillPerformnce . com/download),
We have not started to do video How-to's but they are in the plans. If you would like to suggest a future how-to, the contact info is on our website under the downloads section.
@merrillperformance i was more talking to sumeone11 there. it was one of those "really, you have to ask? you just stared at it for 30 seconds" type of really's.
@hereforthechicks Oh I see what you did there......lol. Your comment is the standard comment when people find out that there is a 4g15 under my hood and not the typical power house.
@SUMeONE11 The turbo is a GT2876R. This car has been a shop side project for about 3 years now but it turns a lot of heads and has been more than worth it to build.
