The trouble is we turn our noses down on primitive bloody societies. Yet we make enemies from fear and make wars for profit and offer human sacrifices, er enemy combatants. Our world is savage too,

Wars end with victory. So in the current wars, define victory. Who needs to surrender ? How many must be impaled on the altar of patriotism ? The thirst for blood and gold is insatiable to the powers that be.
