@modelearth Because it would be a step too far - allowing PSNI/ RUC (crown occupational forces) into the Irish Republic; northern Ireland is a disputed territory. It would also endanger the PSNI.

The Gardai can carry pepper spray, truncheons, or guns if circumstances merit, e.g. gangs. However, 'an Garda Siochana' is the Irish for ''protectors of the peace'' which means no open display of armor. That principle has existed ever since our Independence in a bid to avert another civil war.

Come off it, most of the ones you come across are pricks. They're effectively trained to be like that, with an ingrained sense of superiority, despite the fact that they're usually the ones that are bottom of the barrel academically.

So it should be no surprise there's a built in culture of corruption and inefficiency as outlined in the Barron report.

Why is there so much clicking on the audio in all of your uploads?

The program Im using to record the video/audio from the RTE player requires a computer microphone to capture the audio so that is why that is happening.

I thought it would be worse tbh but its still ok. Maybe I might need to move the mic a bit away from the speakers next time.

I just checked there and the RTE player has only 1 episode from June 29th on there now.

There is only 3 episodes of the previous 5 of traffic blues still on there also as they seem to take them down after a few weeks so I cant do much TBH.

I don't want this channel taken down due to copyright either so Id best not push my luck lol.

Amazing How the 'brilliant' ANPR system in the Garda car didn't flag the out of date tax on that van???

The tax was not registered for that vehicle, therefore ANPR did not alert the vehicle.

You'd think spending all that money on a fancy ANPR system and its unable to flag a vehicle with tax out since 2006 is nothing short of shocking..If they can't have a proper database in the cars its as usual as as e-voting machine in its current form,..Typical Ireland!

I am irish I am 11 and I watch road wars,traffic blues and disorderly conduct the american one and I think the british drive better but the ammericans better at using spikes pits etc. but I have seen americans drive recklessly. The irish are pure rubbish cops I saw an episode where they pulled over a bus driver saw some people didn't have seatbelts on and then let him go how stupid
