I can't rember the name but I bought some water color pencils the other day I think they were called sargent or sergent but they don't lseem to work the ways yours do is it because their not high grade or am just not adding enough color
@Jackiesoarous So am I and I paint too. Don't know why people are getting bent out of shape at my comment. I was just making an observation. Didn't mean to offend anyone.
@spitharoo its a left handed trait, im left handed. and im GOOOOD! in my opinion atleast, if i get a good camera to take pics of my drawings i would be happy to show you them :)
@spitharoo when people are right handed they use their left side of their brain and when people are left handed they use their right side of the brain, when left handed means they are usually more creative and have artistic ability's.
@CaramelTwilight I got them at Muse art and design. It's a local Portland art store that sells american made stuff, not everything because it'd be pretty empty, but it's still cool. I think you can get them online from that store or through amazon. Mine were 5-6.50 but i've seen them for less.
At your local art store or fabric store you can get a basic watercolor pencil kit for about $6. The important thing is a good watercolor paper. I teach watercolor classes and this type of art is fun and easy. Just don't be critical of yourself. Have fun.
that's a 50 dollar pack right there and learning new things are fun to experience ^ ^ though i often spend hundreds of money to do art its my passion.
Hey guys, I am a beginner manga/anime drawer & I post quick and easy tutorials & speed drawings. My videos are for beginner anime/manga drawers so you can relate to them even if you've never picked up a pencil in your life!
Hopefully I will be posting videos for a long time so you can watch me grow and develop. :)
I am doing this deal that if you subscribe to be and post something like "I subscribed, can you do the same?" on my channel, I will definitely subscribe to you back!
Thanks much for this tutorials. I'm thinking about getting into watercolor pencils and your video has me convinced that this may just be the perfect medium for me. Its just so flexible, you can pull off many effects with it.
@girlpink0124 Do you know the brand Pentel, a japanese brand of drawing and painting (in my opinion, one of the best in that world)? That "bottle-brush" is called "Water brush". There are different sizes even.
i thought it said that you shouldn't add water directly to the pencil, but after watched this vid the result is really awesome & i definitely should try that :) great work and thanks for the techniques :D
EOUGH MY GOSH thanks.. i was totaly destorying my colored penicls the other day for not knowing what to do with them =[ THANKS ! now i know how to use them wew
@ViolinSecret I disagree, I have experience with wide variety of materials from different companies and I consider Faber Castle to be among the worst and overpriced. The best (accesible) art supplies are made by Koh-I-Noor. :)
:D I Have Faber Castell Mechanical pencils! It's nice to see someone else using that brand! You have been sooooo helpful! I always thought you dipped the pencil in the water! Thanks so much!
In Europe here, exist a brand Caran D`Ache pastels, is soluble in water, I use it on my
watercolors.Wet a point of the pastel in water, and on palette a drop of water to release
the pigment, than with the brush aplies on the painting the color were we wanted. Is very
simple to use, a stick of pigment mabe allowed to paint for a year or more. Very economic the way to use these products. Like a normal watercolor with tubes.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! i have a project that i've decided to use watercolor pencils but i had no idea how to use them.o.o so thanks a lot! this was very helpful! :D
@hezziattubeyou same here! I made i pic to try out for studio art and there weere bloches and the color kept fading so it was really messy in the end xD
@hezziattubeyou mine too.. I literally cried because some of my friend are really good at it, but it was just a matter of time and practice until i got it right :)
@TheUltimateJinxlet actually, i dont know who did it my cousen came round ages ago and i havnt been on the computer in ages because my friends have been using it a lot.it might have been one of them for a joke.
@ggggpopo Same as with normal watercolours, thin paper will wrinkle and tear if you get it wet. You'd be best using watercolour paper or thick cartridge, like he said.
I have just bought a tin of 36 watercolour pencils by Mont Marte. Came with a brush. I have used them before but its great to actually have lessons on using them too.
OMG thank you very much!!! I just got a Rexel Derwent Master Choice 24 watercolour pencil tin from a friend in Denmark and I had NO idea how to use them!!! In fact I've never even heard of such a thing lol! Now I'm very anxious to try them out! Thank you again!!! 5 stars!
My grandma gave me watercolor pencils, I thought they were just special colored pencils.... and I was just using them like regular colored pencils. XD
