  • @HuaHx3 Michael's I would assume.

  • @HuaHx3 Blick has them.

  • Wow! That's so cool! Looks much easier than actual paint

  • I have set of 36 watercolor pencils, but I think I would buy another set made by Faber-Castell. I'm a huge fan of that company.

  • I WANT THE FABER CASETELL THING -.-

  • @kota3214 Look for Albrecht Durer pencils, that's the name of Faber Castell water colours.

You can get a set of 12 for $18.90 on Amazon, or a 24 set for $32.60. You could also get an even bigger set if you wanted to.

The person in the video had a set of 24 c:

  • @JaniHalfFolk Faber-Castell has two ranges of water soluble pencils. Dürer's the higher-cost range.

  • 4:16 TO JUST GET TO PUTTING SOMETHING ON PAPER? i'LL DIE BEFORE YOU GET TO THE ERASER...SORRY MATE YOU JUST MOVE TO SLOW! Sorry for the caps...forgot

    /watch?v=WwoM5fLITfk

  • Thank you that was very helpful.

Anyone ever notices that many artists are left handed?

  • @spitharoo hey im right handed im a good drawer :(

  • @spitharoo Hey I'm right handed. >:I

  • @Jackiesoarous So am I and I paint too. Don't know why people are getting bent out of shape at my comment. I was just making an observation. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

  • @spitharoo its a left handed trait, im left handed. and im GOOOOD! in my opinion atleast, if i get a good camera to take pics of my drawings i would be happy to show you them :)

  • @spitharoo I'm lefthanded!!! leonardo da vinci was left-handed too! :)

  • @scyllaandcharybdis Then you are in good company. ;)

  • @spitharoo That might say something about how our brains work.

  • @spitharoo when people are right handed they use their left side of their brain and when people are left handed they use their right side of the brain, when left handed means they are usually more creative and have artistic ability's.

  • @XxXxbikergurlxXxX Yes, I've heard that too.

  • @XxXxbikergurlxXxX, Generally. Not always tried and true. Check out Lifehack if you don't believe me.

  • I want that huge box of pencils.. i only have a 12 color watercolor pencil box... D:

  • My watercolour pencils suck. they seem like just a normal coloured pencils!! RAAWWRRR!

  • gah a uk person using the wrong colour speeling

  • @SweetSanctuarii seriousley...

  • @Pianoguy32 Don't make me correct you AGAIN......

  • Thanks! Very helpful! :)

  • this is so helpful video

  • I love those aquabrushes!!! ^^ I have 3 in different sizes XD They're awesome!

  • @LadyMation were did you buy them ?

  • @CaramelTwilight I got them at Muse art and design. It's a local Portland art store that sells american made stuff, not everything because it'd be pretty empty, but it's still cool. I think you can get them online from that store or through amazon. Mine were 5-6.50 but i've seen them for less.

  • At your local art store or fabric store you can get a basic watercolor pencil kit for about $6. The important thing is a good watercolor paper. I teach watercolor classes and this type of art is fun and easy. Just don't be critical of yourself. Have fun.

  • that's a 50 dollar pack right there and learning new things are fun to experience ^ ^ though i often spend hundreds of money to do art its my passion.

  • i could listen to this dd=udes voice all day lmao

  • thats nice, does someone knows where can i get that bottlebrush????

  • @gtdorati Any hobby store. Michaels, Hobby Lobby, ACMoore.

  • thanks! my watercolor pencils never... i repeat... NEVER worked for me!

  • Bob, you're the best. Just got your dvd's and can't wait to start! Yes...Faber Castell are the best!

  • Kudos, Bob!

  • thankx for the professional video. thankx for all the detail.

  • Thanks much for this tutorials. I'm thinking about getting into watercolor pencils and your video has me convinced that this may just be the perfect medium for me. Its just so flexible, you can pull off many effects with it.

  • Screw this... I'm using Crayola.

  • Where can I get a bottle-brush like the one you were using?

  • @girlpink0124 Do you know the brand Pentel, a japanese brand of drawing and painting (in my opinion, one of the best in that world)? That "bottle-brush" is called "Water brush". There are different sizes even.

  • @Orelinde25 Thank you. No I haven't heard of the company, but I'll be sure to look them up. Thanks a bunch! :]

  • i thought it said that you shouldn't add water directly to the pencil, but after watched this vid the result is really awesome & i definitely should try that :) great work and thanks for the techniques :D

  • WAIT< DUDE< SAME PENCILS AS ME!

I really appreciate the time you took to do this

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS!

you reccommended brands, showed different ways to use this. im a beginner. and i was so overwhelmed and intimidated by all the options out there.

thankyou so much for calming my uneasiness with an unfamiliar territory.

    thanks so much!

  • Are these any good to use with regular watercolors? such as touching up?

  • Thank you very much for posting the lesson.

  • gracias buen tutorial se ve que eres buen maestro

  • Faber Castle is the best type of materials you can use for ANYTHING!

  • @ViolinSecret hells to the yeah

  • @ViolinSecret I disagree, I have experience with wide variety of materials from different companies and I consider Faber Castle to be among the worst and overpriced. The best (accesible) art supplies are made by Koh-I-Noor. :)

  • @ViolinSecret and it's quite cheap too..

  • :D I Have Faber Castell Mechanical pencils! It's nice to see someone else using that brand! You have been sooooo helpful! I always thought you dipped the pencil in the water! Thanks so much!

  • I have 150g paper. will it cockle or get soaked up as I add water? :s and is cartridge paper expensive, where can I find it?

  • That was very helpful! Thank you!

  • In Europe here, exist a brand Caran D`Ache pastels, is soluble in water, I use it on my

watercolors.Wet a point of the pastel in water, and on palette a drop of water to release

the pigment, than with the brush aplies on the painting the color were we wanted. Is very

simple to use, a stick of pigment mabe allowed to paint for a year or more. Very economic the way to use these products. Like a normal watercolor with tubes.

  • where could i buy the brush with the water barrel? Oh and thank you for the tutorial - its incredible

  • @ilove2ball WHSmith has one I saw it today.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! i have a project that i've decided to use watercolor pencils but i had no idea how to use them.o.o so thanks a lot! this was very helpful! :D

  • @hezziattubeyou lol, me too! too much water and wrinkled paper, lol!

  • @hezziattubeyou same here! I made i pic to try out for studio art and there weere bloches and the color kept fading so it was really messy in the end xD
