  • I wonder if Disney will use this updated opening when "The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3" come out, or whether they'll use the older one. Disney owns those movies, but they have to include the Paramount logo on these two movies and not their own.

  • @mcjwserenity I'm sure that the current Paramount logo may be seen in "The Avengers". I'm not sure if that Paramount logo may be seen in "Iron Man 3". That latter movie may be co-produced by either Walt Disney Pictures or Touchstone Pictures and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

  • @dondonp12004 Disney owns both "Avengers" and IM3. The deal they made with Paramount when they transferred the distribution rights (they still collect 8-9% of the box-office gross) keeps Par's logo on both films but not Disney. ("Avengers" also goes to Epix, Paramount's movie channel but IM3 doesn't.) And none of the marketing materials for "Avengers" has the revised logo... but who knows?

  • It's to bad that TriStar Pictures couldn't make a new logo that is based off on the 1984 logo.

  • @rod1014 Sony owns TriStar, and they use it as a label for some of their lower-budget movies/B-movies like Screen Gems. I can see them changing the Columbia Pictures opening once that 100 year anniversary rolls around, though...

  • I'll be really interested to see Universal's Centennial ident.

  • @AllRequired Well, the new fully-animated Universal Pictures logo will debut in "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" on March 3rd.

  • happy one 100 year to a legend god bless them

  • EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPICEPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC... Fuck yeah!

  • Best paramount logo ever

  • ©Viacom

  • The first movie used in the logo is Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol followed by The Devil Inside (i'm not sure).

  • @BossRP27 I mentioned the former title in my description. Have you read my description?

  • Warner Bros. Pictures, 1998 logo will end July 2012, and the new logo which will debut August 2012, and will celebrate 89 years, and in December, it will show celebrating 90 years, but the celebrating number of years, will not be on this logo in January 2013, in May 2012, Warner Bros. has it's first film with Immiango Animation, it's new animation company first launched in 2008 with The Weinstein Company, then in 2010, with Warner Bros. Pictures, that's all I can think of.

  • @moorfieldfamily I thought the new Warner Bros. Pictures logo may debut in 2013. Wait, where did you get that information and how? I'm just curious.

  • @moorfieldfamily Where did you hear that?

  • @moorfieldfamily

Let's hope they keep as time goes by as it's theme.

  • This is very nice. The change in making the sky brighter with the sun was well executed and the new fanfare is terrific. Great logo! Can't wait to see the new Universal Logo in action instead of just a still shot.

  • @BKAllmighty Nor can I.

  • @TheKwVideos... I saw a picture of the Universal 100th Anniversary logo at Deadline.com. It looks very impressive, and it will be in front of "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" next month. Wonder if John Williams will compose the 100th Anniversary theme like he did for the 75th Anniversary & 1997 Universal logos?

  • @MsSissiePooh

    1) James Horner composed the 1990 Universal fanfare.

    2) The late Jerry Goldsmith composed the 1997 Universal fanfare that John Williams later adapted in 2002 and 2003.

    3) I believe that John Williams wrote his own Universal logo music exclusively for 1966's 'The Rare Breed', which is the same as the film's theme music.

    4) He may compose a new fanfare for Universal Studios, whether or not it is a reworked version of 'The Rare Breed' theme.

  • @MsSissiePooh The Universal Studios Fanfare is composed by Jerry Goldsmith, and it will be heard heard in the studio's new opening intro before the screening of "The Lorax"

  • @1troygood OK. Where did you get the info on Jerry Goldsmith's Universal Studios fanfare being used in the logo sequence before 'The Lorax'? I'm just curious.

  • @MsSissiePooh i think he is

  • look up universal 100th anniversary, NOW!

  • Wow! a new Paramount fanfare!

  • Ugh, who had the idea of making the stars play with the water? A 12-year-old child? That was ridiculous.

  • @VirDiligo Please read the description!

  • 100th Years Dates:

    Paramount and Universal - 2012

    Columbia Pictures - 2019

    Warner Bros. - 2023

    MGM - 2024

    Walt Disney Pictures - 2029

    20th Century Fox - 2035

    Touchstone Pictures - 2084

  • I love this new logo so much. :-}

  • God: Hey Stars Where Are You Going?

Stars: We Are Going To See Uncle Paramount, It's His 100th Birthday!

    God: OK, Be Careful!

Stars: Uncle Paramount, Where Are You?

    Paramount: Here I Am Children

Stars: Happy Birthday Paramount, Your 100!

    Aunt Viacom: Hello

    The End

Posted Comment From My Nintendo 3DS

  • @Anthonyg3281 hahahaha nice try

  • 100th Anniversary Dates:

    Paramount - 2012

    Universal - 2015

    MGM - 2024

    TCF - 2035

  • @ChiuahuaTubeALT I thought 2015 marks the centenary of Universal Studios, but that year would mark the centenary of Universal's globe logo. This year is the centenary of both Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios.

  • @ChiuahuaTubeALT Universal's 100th Birthday Is 2012. Not 2015..... The Studio Was Founded In 1912 And Officially Open It's Doors Three Years Later. In 1915

  • @Maddog4554 More like 'anniversary'.

  • Wow, 100 years. Too bad Paramount television no longer exists.

  • @iSquishy89 I know, it is because of the 2005 Viacom split that separated Paramount Pictures (owned by the post-2005 Viacom) from its television production and distribution arms (owned by the post-2005 CBS Corporation, known as CBS Television Studios, CBS Television Distribution and CBS Studios International, respectively).

  • Awesome seeing this on the big screen today; even better, the movie that followed (MI4) was freaking awesome.

  • @K3v1nfl Paramount celebrates it's 100th anniversary

  • In 2035, 20th Century Fox will be celebrating its 100th anniversary.

  • @lukesams2 That's true.

  • @dondonp12004 And in 2025, 20th Century Fox will celebrate their 90th anniversary.

  • In 2015, Universal Pictures will be celebrating its 100th anniversary.

  • @TimFrith24 Actually, 2015 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Universal globe logo.

  • Awesome!

  • Best wishes for 2012, and happy birthday to Paramount, the world's oldest Hollywood film company, for celebrating 100 years.

  • This should have also been included in both Tintin and Young Adult. And I hope to see this new logo in future Paramount films in 2012 including GI Joe 2, Hansel and Gretel, The Dictator, and World War Z!

  • @MrMichaelChua Agreed. Then again, the former two films were the final two with the 2002 logo, since 'Tintin' was released in the United Kingdom two months before it was released in the United States of America.

  • I REALLY DO LIKE IT A LOT!!

  • happy 100 paramount! thanks for getting me into movies and heres to another millenium!

  • Whoo! Got to see it without going to the theaters! Man, this opening even topped the lat one. I wonder if the music is from particular film.

  • @AADudley Please read the description, stating this logo is accompanied by Paramount's new fanfare, composed by Michael Giacchino. It is not heard on the soundtrack to "Mission: Impossible--Ghost Protocol"

  • I love that new fanfare. Pretty majestic than the one introduced almost twenty-five years ago.

  • that wasn't on tv yet, dude your good!

  • @1stZackAttack Thanks. Hope that logo will be on TV at the beginning of a new TV spot for a new Paramount Picture. Of course, Paramount's television production and distribution arms are now known as CBS Television Studios, CBS Television Distribution and CBS Studios International, respectively.

  • I was the only one in the theater to applaud when I saw this in front of MI4.

  • happy xmas & 100 years

  • I cannot wait to see Universal's new logo.

  • @sanbell Nor can I. I guess 1990 was the 75th anniversary of Universal's globe logo.

  • @sanbell just saw the article about it.

  • IT"S BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Happy 100, Paramount.

  • Mission Impossible 4!

  • Wow. That one is really well done.

  • at the beginning

God: "hey stars, where are you going?

stars: "we going to see uncle paramount, it's his 100 birthday"

    God: "ok, be careful"

0:09 stars: "uncle paramount where are you?"

0:13 paramount "here i am my children"

    0:16 stars "happy birthday paramount, you're 100"

0:17 aunt viacom comes to say hello

  • @TheKwVideos LOL

  • breathtaking...that's all

  • i hope they do what they did with the 90th aniversary one, where they made that one the logo permanently just without the 90th part. looks beautiful!

  • @DEEninetysix

According to Deadline Hollywood, that's the plan after the "100th anniversary" run finishes in 2013.

  • @DEEninetysix they will beginning in 2013.

  • @DEEninetysix It will happen, in 2013.

  • @DEEninetysix yeah they are, beginning in 2013 it will be permanent

  • Happy 100th Birthday, Paramount Pictures!

You gave us Titanic, The first-half of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (except the Incredible Hulk), Nickelodeon Movies, Transformers, Ferris Bueller & much, much more.

    Keep up the great work!

  • @UrkManRocks And let us not forget Star Trek.

  • @tonyutter Let's not forget that 'Star Trek' as a franchise and all the other television properties that Paramount once owned are now owned by CBS. I wish the post-2005 CBS Corporation and the post-2005 Viacom may sometime in the future re-merge to form the new CBS Paramount, Inc.

  • @dondonp12004 Yes, but they still have the rights to the films.

  • @tonyutter True. Paramount still owns the home entertainment rights to the 'Star Trek' franchise and the rest of the CBS Television Studios library as well.

  • references to both the 90th aniversary and the 75th aniversary logos

  • is this fanmade?

  • @mariobrasil9 No. This is the real thing. Please read the discription by clicking on 'show more.'

  • @dondonp12004 YES thank you!! I was waiting for this logo for 3 weeks since i knew about paramount! i saw the trailer of the devil inside and it show the 100 years logo at the end. I CANT WAIT FOR 2012!

  • @TheKwVideos You are welcome. I can't wait for 2012, either.

  • @dondonp12004 i read it but i didn't understand :P

thanks for the info as well. Hm... Will this logo design continue, and they make this logo without the "100 years" words soon, and maybe make a paramount television logo, or update the "DVD" logo?

  • @mariobrasil9 Of course. Though Paramount's television properties, especially 'Star Trek', are already owned by CBS. Yet, Paramount will produce its first television production since the 2005 Viacom split: "The Firm", which will air next month on NBC.

  • Wow, what an awesome logo!

  • The studio brought us the Pre-Avengers Marvel Cinematic Universe movies (with the exception of the Incredible Hulk). Happy 100th, Paramount, let's hope that Disney does the Avengers some justice.

  • Favorite part: 0:00 to 0:20.

    Least favorite part: After 0:20.

  • Just found out that large portions of the sequence are almost entirely Terragen rendered.

More info on the software at planetside.co.uk.

Funn to see the program used more and more in big productions.

  • I was wondering who composed the new Paramount Fanfare to accompany its intro. I think it's Danny Elfman, because I pretty much love his compositions. (Like The theme to Desperate Housewives)

  • @1troygood I think so, too. Either him, or Michael Giacchino, the composer behind "Mission: Impossible 3", "Star Trek XI", "Super 8" and now, "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol".,

  • @dondonp12004 It sounds A LOT like Giacchino.

  • @ForceMaximus84 I just checked Giacchino's website and the music is all his doing.

  • @dondonp12004 Oh,thanks,Did you say happy anniversary to Paramount Pictures?

  • @eizaqeel Absolutely. Click the 'show more' button for that.

  • Well,Happy Anniversary,Paramount Pictures!

  • I like it!

  • @floopehobaloobie Great job! floopehobaloobie!

  • @eizaqeel Thanks, but unless you complement be for uploading, give complements to the folks at DevaStudio for all their hard work on Paramount Pictures' new logo for the studio's century-long anniversary!

  • The Viacom byline should be wider and a bit bigger but everything else about it is great. Can't wait to see it on the screen soon.

  • Great job Donny. The theme sounds different from FlashMaster659's vid he uploaded.

  • @ShaDeed329 Thank you very much indeed, ShaDeed.

  • Absolutely stunning visuals, but I wonder how it would mesh with Paramount's old Fanfare instead?

  • @LastNetwork2 I could do that vid later this morning or this afternoon or this evening.

  • The part which some of the stars touch the lake is so beautiful.

  • The music from this video sounds different from the theater version. But i think this one sounds better.

  • AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE IT!

  • Kudos to a company that brought us Indiana Jones, Good Burger, and other great movies! Paramount FTW!!!!

  • Here's a big question:

Will this logo replace Universal as best anniversary logo?

  • @sanbell Unnecessarily, to be honest.

  • HOLY CRAP THIS IS AMAZING!

  • The studio that gave us "The Godfather", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Star Trek" and so many more! Happy 100th, Paramount!!!!!

  • @ForceMaximus84 Well, "Star Trek" as a franchise is owned by Paramount's former television production unit CBS Television Studios. Yet, Paramount will produce "Star Trek XII" to be released in 2013.

  • @dondonp12004 Well, I was kind of referring to the movies, but yeah.

  • cool

  • 100 years of some of the greatest movies of all time. Happy birthday Paramount!

  • @LFWISKOOLreturns Actually, oldest.

  • If I was Dr. Rockso, I would say, "I HEARD IT'S PARAMOUNT'S BIRTHDAY!"

  • Happy 100 years, Paramount!!!

  • It's PARAMOUNT'S BIRTHDAY :D
