i purchased the product it does not do exactly what it says. My nhl 11 disc was slightly scratched and usually stopped working after 1 game. Could not get even get an online game without getting a error message. So i purchased the novus cleaner it did work my game ran smoothly no stoppage and no error message just like new however the game is scratched a lot worse than it was before using the novus but it eventually still works fine after rebooting the game twice it's weird but this worked

I reckon this stuff used with a hand cranked CD/DVD 'repair' machine might actually make them work as advertised. They usually come with a bottle of diluted alcohol, which will clean, but will not remove scratches. They're only cheap so you could buy 3 and number them in the same way as Novus 1-3 (to avoid contamination of the different gradients). Same principle, but less elbow grease. Yes, they work radially, but so do the pro DVD repair machines, and they leave discs looking new. I will try.

I just ordered and i think i will post a video when i receive on repairing my XBOX 360 Kinect Adventures dvd and how it worked out, Anyway it's just around 22$ for the 8oz package the three bottles.

If it does not work with heavy scratches i will just sand the DVD to decrease the scratch depth same as he did, anyways will see how it performs when i get it here in Egypt

This may work but sand paper only causes very small shallow scratches.

In most instances the gashes are deep and this would not work as effectively

My Game Boy Advance SP has a few noticeable scratches on it, and it's a Limited Edition, so I don't want to fork out for a new one. Does anyone know for sure if this would work to remove those scratches? It does have a decal on it because it is a Limited Edition, so that could be a problem, same with the label and such on the bottom.

Sand paper only removed the top coat of the cd. if you have DEEP scrath, which wont work, then you cant fix it. small scraths dont break it, so dont waste money unless you want to waste your money, then by all means be retarded

wrong, these are agraisives and work like brasso or toothpaste. do not use these if you want to use the cd again and have it work. best thing for cd's is non-acidic wood polish, fills in the scratches not widen them out.

it is under. there's a clear plastic coating which the laser sees through to read the data. thats why you want that coating to always be clear and scratch free. if the data was on top, merely touching the disc with daily use would render it unusable. I gathered this information from my common sense, not some edu video I watched 5 minutes ago.

You would have to contact the manufacturer of the touch screen. Plastic which has any kind of coating SHOULD NOT be repaired with an abrasive like Novus. It seems likely that touch screens might have some kind of coating.

my call of duty 4 game for the xbox 360 is severely scratched pretty deep from dropping it on gravel outside of my house while walking to my friends house. i have gone to game crazy and used their buffing machine to try to get the scratches out but it didn't work. Do you think that this Novus supply fix my problem or just make the cd look shiny?

If the scratches catch your fingernail as you slide it across the cd, then they are probably too deep to repair. You did not mention if you used any buffing compound with the buffing wheel. The wheel by itself will not remove scratches. It requires the addition of a buffing compound.

As you saw on the video, Novus can remove sandpaper scratches, so it would be worth a try on your cd. If it does not work, you will find many other uses for the left over Novus. Be sure to start with #3 and then work down to #1, following the directions exactly.

I have some Novus 1 laying around in the garage. My dad uses it on his windscreen for the harley and I used it on my windows xp installation disc. Worked like a champ. Since it was just Novus 1 it didn't fix the scratches but it did fix the read errors. Thanks for the great video.

It buffs out the scratches. It doesn't wear the disk down so much to damage the disk. (Unless of course you have REALLY deep scratches in it)

Well u could sort out those scratches using sand papaer and polish but i'd be careful in case it's only a thin crome plate on the back and when u sand it might all come off. If it's solid aluminium you'll be ok though.
