Where I live it is not too uncommon for temps to hit -20 f or colder, almost none of our horses wear blankets, they don't need them. When we do put them on, my expensive blanket is used as their expensive new toy and ripped to shreds. Most of the time horses do not need a blanket outside.

@xxILovePonyz depends on the horse, actually blankets mess up a horses natural warming and cooling cycles.....there really only for those horses who can't grow their own coat or for the people who keep them short for competitions........if that horse wanted to role it would have, im pretty sure it was either the ground was hard or uneven or she just kept changing her mind.........but i may be wrong......looked like the horse was having fun :)

@xxILovePonyz she was playing. horses LOVE to role in the snow, but that snow was too choppy so she tried to smooth it out by pawing at it. horses love to role in fresh, flat snow. she wasnt cold, she was excited
