  • Surely it is Wing On Ground effect ?

  • woow

  • So how much would it cost if me as a normal individual to buy one. Come on, Money talks.

  • Kits are available for under 6K. Ready to fly machines are over 100K.

  • THATS COOL AS SHIT

  • This is what I call REAL low flight ! =D

  • What would happen if the craft got hit by a sudden wind gust, or if it tips one wing into the water in a turn?

  • @J1I9M7M4Y I'm pretty sure that's why ground effect vehicles haven't replaced boats lol.

  • @J1I9M7M4Y Or clips a wave? I had the same thought. The result is probably not pretty.

  • you will see the wings touching the water in our 18SPW video. It is not an issue.

  • We often drag the wing tips in the water to tighten the turning radius. The wing tips are shaped like a ski and will not dig into the water no matter how hard you try. its actually a challenge trying to make a wing touch the water due to the lift increasing as the wing gets closer to the surface.

  • Put longer wings on it , I bet you'd take off to altitude!

  • Looks cool and like lots of fun but I'd be scared to death of catching a wave with a wing. I gotta believe that would ruin your whole afternoon.

  • put a v8 in that thing haha

  • Holy shit! Thats cool!

  • this is cool stuff

  • I need it for my job...

  • try install one more extra fan....

  • NEEDS MORE POWAHHH

  • Stop lying to yourself that evolution is real. Subscribe! YouTube: CSE-01 Age of the Earth (FULL) Kent Hovind. Radiometric dating is not reliable because it rests on unprovable assumptions. If I get buried on top of a hamster, doesn't prove I evolved from the hamster. Homologous structures prove a Common Designer who designed similarly because He knew similar functions would require similar parts! Tautology: Who survives? The fittest. Who's the fittest? Those who survive! Richest, luckiest, etc.

  • That is SICKKK!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF When did they invent this shit? And why wasn't I told?!

  • how much does one of these weigh, and what material makes the body and is on the wings?

  • Lame. If you try to turn too fast the wing would strike the water and your craft would cart-wheel across the lake. Doesn't really fly as it relies on ground effect for the majority of lift. That is basically a conventional hovercraft with wings with a swamp boat engine and propeller on the rear. Probably costs $5k.

  • I gotta fly one of these! Great concept.

  • put a 800 hp motor with turbo and it fly like a plane.lol

  • I wonder if these are foldable model.

  • how high can it fly? can you fly it over sand dumes?

  • ill buy one for 10k or under

  • @BluEmInEmZ u can buy a mini plane that u can fly in and it gose up to 9000+FT for less then 10k

  • do you need a licene's for this?!

  • @theairsoftvsnerf no license, as it is not considered an airplane. They are stable, but you never want to dip a wing deep in a wave while turning, as happened to one of the Russian Ekranoplans (ground effect aircraft). Tore a wing off and sank, killing all on board. It is a neat toy and I wrote a Patent on one of these craft. But I am not sure they have a practical, all-weather application, just yet.

  • @robertplattbell1 cool i want won!!!

  • Why no recreational? How dose it say stable? I really want one. How much is it

  • how much is it?

  • at 1:38 he says " higher you piece of shit "

    :D

  • i want one of these lol

  • its like a retarded sea plane :D

  • hi this is great, what is the minimum speed to fly?

  • rec reational useable yet?

  • How difficult is it to fly/captain, it looks like it would tend to slide/yaw a lot while in "flight".

  • Until you clip the water taking a turn

  • how much fuel does it consume?? I mean approximate MPG?

  • Thats pretty badass :D

  • not tht high :(

  • how does it fly?!?

  • @fuckaluckashit

The big fan at the back is what makes it move, then if you look closely it has wings on it like a plane ;)

  • @fuckaluckashit Ground effect. it floats on a cussion of air

  • dear santa....

  • @Legendfry You can clearly see thats its already been said. Why again? you dont get points for thumbs up.

  • how much more power does it need to fly propperly?

  • @Vince62965 This particular unit is flying on 100 horsepower.

  • @UniversalHovercraft is it possible to add a higher horse power engine? and will you provide 100+ horsepower models?

  • @UniversalHovercraft is it possible to fly more than 100 horsepower? will you be providing models with 100+ horse power? i am quite interested in investing in one of these. how much would it cost to own one?

  • @Vince62965 almost as much power as you need to spell proPerly lol

  • how much more power does it need to fly propperly ?

  • Nice ekranoplane!

  • does they have to fly over water? and so low?

  • Теперь снова понял что такое трансс!!!

  • Lol, if you add a net on the back, it would be any fishermen's dream!

  • This equipment have great military and commercial use.

  • @mohan4114 I was just thinking the same thing. Amphibious landing support. But didn’t the old soviet union have something like this in the Baltic?

  • Then suddenly...the wing clips the water "F-F-F-F-F-F-UUUUUUUUUUUU"

    no more hoverwing.

  • But can it blend?

  • @DemonWeasel1990 nice try

  • Uses a chit load of gas... Uggggssss...

  • I bought the plans for the 18 spw, back in the mid 90's. Would be willing to let them go for $50.

  • so cool!

  • thats an ecrano plane from russia

  • James Bond....

  • Does this remind anyone else of Slipstream 5000?

  • nice habitat destruction

  • @PlaxicoDurress actually far less environmental impact than any boat. Did you see the wake? Thats right ... there isn't one. Zero coastal soil erosion.

  • This is cool. I want one

  • Dear Santa...

  • @dancecraze5 Dear Santa is right..I so want one

  • This i want

  • holy shit, i didn't even know something like this even existed

  • do you have to have a special licence for operateing such a vessel

  • New Russian WIG (ekranoplan): aquagen.ru/eng/planes/akvaplan

  • THIS ISN'T A FLYING MACHINE BUT A HOVER FLYING MACHINE , IT CANNOT FLY ANY HIGHER THAN THE NOSE CAN BE SUPPORTED . BY ADDING WING AIR CONTROLS IT COULD POSSIBLY REACH HIGHER ALTITUDES . BUT IT LOOKS LIKE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE FLAT SURFACE TRANSPORT .

    GIANFRANCO FRONZI. JULY /20/2011

  • yeah, soooo....what happens if there's a big wave?

  • @ZamolxisReborn you fly over it.

  • @BlueScadoo96 more like INTO it.

    meh, same difference....

  • How much does it cost??? i really want one

  • fuckin sick!

  • i read that costs only 10 000 $ if you build it you're self is it true?

  • @bulghero no its $5000 for the base kit but if u get the ones that are partially built/further along in the build process, they cost up to $23,000

  • @indoodubly its only 5000$ to buy one of these? are you serious? i could buy one! lmao

  • ZIEHT HOCH LEUDE

  • It's not a hoverwing, it's an ekranoplan.

  • Nothing new in this. It's a small ekranoplan ( google it ) The russians have them the size of a Jumbo! As for 'clipping a wing' - so what! That's what the floats are for!

  • Nothing new in this. It's a small ekranoplan ( google it ) The russians have them the size of a Jumbo!

  • oooook...+1

  • Today's military is going stealth. Hovercraft are not stealth.

  • lol didnt they do something like this on mythbusters??

  • that shit is fuckn death trap. you can so eaasily clip the wings when turning

  • @andygaras It doesn't even need wings. Read the description.

  • WoW! That is amazing, looks great fun. I would very much like to have one of those! Thank you for posting. Thumbs up and subscribed...

  • well 5 people must have dropped their chin so far it accidentally it the dislike button

  • Holy Fucking shit THIS THING FLIES LIKE HOVERCRAFT and for how much time can it fly OVER the GROUND ?!?!

  • how high can they get?

  • @zandergunner i can get really high, depends on how much i smoke

  • Awesome. How much would one of these be?

  • @superhoneycutt: Greed? like in a motive to actually build something and expect a return on time and investment? The system you prefer is cheap or Free? None of your time or investment..just enjoy? I see why a lot of people are destitute. Waiting for others to provide for them. It is called 'Dependency' and a great portion of the world has been taught 'the way'. Slavery predictably follows and is fine as well...for the 'masters'.

  • Can u get them already built?

  • that would be so fat to wake board behind that.

  • @Sahadi420 ur retarted

  • @jrudabega "retarted?" Do you mean "retarDed". You stupid fucking idiot.

  • @Sahadi420 Until it glides over a sandbar...

  • Comment removed

  • Прикольная штукенция!!!

  • Two questions, will it get out of ground effect either intentionally or accidentally and will catching a wing in the surface of the water cause an accident because if so then it requires skilled handling I guess.

  • Like everything else in the field of new technoligies, greed will put it out of reach of most consumers

  • OMG that is soo awesome i've NEVER seen a hovercraft that ACTUALLY HOVERS! lmao cuz all the other ones just touch the ground with the side rubber thingos and a cushion of air underneath this thing ACTUALLY hovers :D so cool

  • @david1991rules4life more like flies than hover

  • @david1991rules4life actually, all hovercraft HOVER, its just that this one you can see...my dad built a uh-15p. you cant see it hover unless your head can go through the ground and get your sight flush with the skirt...but we took a camera and my dads actually hovers about 1 cm. think of it as an air hockey puck...accept the air comes out of the puck not the table

  • Will it pull a skier?

  • A few more mph and it's lift off.......

  • I'm SOOOO gonna buy this, just a soon as I win the lottery!

  • the best hover craft i think i've seen is an Apache helicopter and it blends!

  • price tag?

  • @LuxuriousLuxembourg 10 thousand unfinished (kit) up to 20 thousand (kit) (more done) and even higher if bought finished, if bought in rockford illinois and there company place

  • @LuxuriousLuxembourg they are $13,000

  • @ColtSegura nice thats worth it. nice toy.

  • Could this fly over an IED?

  • How high can it go?

  • now... just make it look like a landspeeder and you won't be able to build enough of them.

  • Could you fly over a tsunami?

  • dear santa

  • heÿ_Î_fÊËl_sÓ_lóNélÿ_töDÂý

  • that is sooo cool, I WANT ONE!

  • that is by far the cOolest thing eva !!!!!

  • lawl this look like GTA SA ^^

  • That look fun

  • reinvinting the orlyonok??

  • jetsons here we come!!

  • how much does one pay 4 that>?

  • @brandonman052 85 - 90k$ depending on the power

  • @AlemitoFilms O OK SO BIRTHDAY MONEY

  • @brandonman052 ill build you a two seater for $6000

  • @brandonman052 and itll fly better and faster than this one

  • Dear Santa,

  • These are ultimate .

  • that is so cool

  • Very interesting. I hope it becomes available for recreational use, and would love to see a price

  • i was waiting for one of those wing to get cought on the ground

  • Looks like in a turn or other cause of a wing dip, a brush with ground or water would be devastating. Aircraft encountering ground effect float quite a bit higher then this even with high wings. I truly think you need to go higher for safety. The concept of a hover to full aircraft would surely be interesting as runways would be available anywheres.

  • @tazmun I've seen a video where the driver (/pilot?) actually dips the wingdip on purpose while turning, without any problems. Keep in mind: while turning, the vehicle is drifting outwards, so the wing tip won't dive in, but is more like skiing on the surface. grtzz

  • How much does one of these things cost? I had a vision of a flying car that looks a like a hover craft but with the propulsion of a jet pack. Runs on something like nitrogen, not fossil fuels. I get crazy visions like this all the time. Is that possible??

  • @rpena728 Real jetpacks use H2O2 as a fuel and only last 30 seconds in flight. Running on nitrogen is impossible, because the reactions that turn nitrogen into compounds are endothermic. However, reactions starting FROM nitrogen compounds are extremely exothermic: hydrazine (N2H4) was used as rocket fuel for decades, and now an Italian catalyst manufacturer wants to use it in fuel cells because it delivers more energy than the normal hydrogen cells, without the use of platinum as a catalyst.

  • прикольно! И сколько стоит?

  • @kon5545 Its 1, sometimes 2 in this video

  • And I was like dude u have no wake

  • Clever idea!

The hovercraft part eliminates water drag at liftoff, that had necessitated 8 massive jet engines on the Ekranoplan.

  • i want one!!!

  • ekronoplan - google it! In World War II the Russians came up with a version that did nearly 350mph with 250+ troops inside. Had World war II continue this thing would have kicked arse!!!

  • how fast?

  • How fast can this go and what is the range? Do you think it's possible to go from Los Angeles to Hawaii with this with a stronger engine and more fuel??

  • @kevinatucla I don't know much about the specs of the Hoverwing, but I postulate that would be an interesting challenge.

World's first nonstop flight from California to Hawaii and back by WiG vehicle. I say do it.

Although who wants to bet someone will try to cross the English Channel first?

  • Yer doin' it rite

  • HECK TO THE YES. epic!

  • Where?

    How much?

    Gimme two please now.

    I said please.

  • it is very funny and interesting but there are some Europeans and Russians companies that have created a good technology and they used the power in the front, not in the back, what gives more stability and ground force.

try to go find more info in google.

  • @raseclarbac : Or you could just click the "Ekranoplan" video link on the right.

  • It's like a sea plane.

  • sounds like these jetscooters in StarWars :D

  • how can i get one ?

  • WOW ! I want one, hey, I CAN have one....hmmm parking is going to be a problem.....

  • what is the maximum altitude on that

  • The fish will never see you coming.

  • I want one!

  • Dear Santa....

  • lol at 0:45 the seagulls are all like. "OMG WTF" and fly away.

  • this is the ekranoplan concept, russian developemnt to get fast over tundra and icy waters ....check out ......russian ekranoplan , you will see what i mean whit concept

  • WOW, you deff should work on the body to make it all futuristc and attach some blue LEDS man. Thats sick!!
