@justinj90days wow boy you really know your stuff i am very impress all i can say is son i have been working for MB north America more than 25 years let's put it this way you were in diapers when i started my profession.if anybody offers me Chrysler product for free i will not take it piece of garbage.
Well last Tony George invited a group of engine manufactures to discus new engines for 2011 and Fiat was one of the manufactures along with VW & Honda. The talk is that they go to a turbo engine which will either be a 4 cylinder or a V6.
Chrysler for a while and renew their assets , you know a sort of " gentle request " by the US government, who since the end of WWII is Italy's one tutor not to say effective owner .....
Anyway if that will help in saving many jobs inside Chrysler group, that's something to do : the US did so much for Italy 60 years ago and this would be a due help from FIAT & Italy, surely not comparable with all that american support but significant in any way .
I Love this Video and also I checked out your Channel. Very interesting! If you need any help getting this Video and your Channel exposed to were it is top in all the search I found this site called tubeviews.(net) that has took my breath away. "65crewcabpw" & "koffiezet" I agree with Chrysler making head way break designs and tech. Fiat has had a long time working on and improving small mini cars that are good on gas from the 50's. so with all that time they better have high HP cars and good on gas. We'll all have to wait and see what happens. should be interesting

I hate to say it, but depending on Fiat's not a great idea. Chrysler can beat anything Fiat can do. Let them borrow to speed things up, and then divorce. Or, whatever, because I want WHOLLY CHRYSLER vehicles, not Fiats. Whatever Fiat can do, Chrysler can do better. Whatever anyone can do, Chrysler can do better.
65crewcabpw, Chrysler would need billions of dollars to develop its own cars, and they don't have that kind of cash right now. A strategic alliance with Fiat will save them billions of dollars in R&D and related expenses, not to mention enable Chrysler to expand its global reach.
I understand why they're doing it. I'm saying that it needs to be a short term strategy... Depending on Fiat for anything will become a liability, not an asset... as I said, Chrysler can do anything better than anyone else.
Don't forget "Fiat Group" includes the following brands:
- Alfa Romeo
- Ferrari
- Maserati
- Fiat
- Lancia
Also - Fiat Group has loads more experience with lightweight cars/platforms and small efficient engines with high power output (1.4l with 180+bhp, 1.750l with 240bhp, ...) and then we're not even talking about diesel technology...
Sure - Chrysler could invest billions of dollars into development in these areas, and still lag years behind...
Italian engineering knows no peers, multiair= high output low co%.
Anyway STOP VW BUYING ALFA ROMEO, a german alfa romeo with a dull VAG
engine is the stuff of nightmares, keep alfa Italian...
STOP VW BUYING ALFA ROMEO...
