PS2 is missing some audio problems (like not hearing certain sounds you'd hear on gamecube), frame rate issues, and on team battles you start fighting at a later time than on gamecube. There are other small differences too, like in Mystic Mansion for example, there's a fake wall in the gamecube version that is solid in the ps2 version.

@Poppadop1 Well, they may not have aged, but personality-wise, they sure have matured! Tails, for instance, usually had to rely on Sonic when in trouble. But when Sonic Chronicles came out, it is stated in the Codex that during the time Sonic was out looking for adventure, Tails had to learn to do things without him, and has done well in doing so. So when it comes to personality, they HAVE matured, case closed.

Now, what's this SoJ and SoA you speak of?

@MarioBrosFan SC:DB is set two years ahead of the other Sonic games in its own timeframe. Outside of just that game, Sonic should still be 15, Tails should still be 8, etc. Plus, BioWare left out all voices just so they didn't have to use 4Kids.

And SoJ and SoA are Sega of Japan and America, respectively. Sorry about that. It was really SoJ that decided to use the 4Kids VAs.

So yeah, about this re-casting, I've done a little research, and found out that Roger Craig Smith and others will compose the newer Sonic cast, so let's just hope there'll be less complaints this time!

@MarioBrosFan Sonic '06 was borderline broken and still managed to sell a million copies. The franchise has enough fans going easy on it TBQH.

I'm not sure what to think about Smith as Sonic. His Alton Towers work was, well.... ridiculous, and his All-Star Racing ad VO sounds like a bad Griffith impersonation. Hopefully his in-game Sonic sounds better.
