The only real trouble with this era of mowers is that their ignitions are under the flywheel, and the solid-state ignition was not yet made for mowers like this. But when new primer carburetors had come out in the later 1970s, those made the auto-prime carburetors look inferior and sophisticated.
Still I would like to own one of these oldies. My dad bought one in 1973.
Those were the days when Craftsman mowers were legends! Now they're generic made and painted with Craftsman colors. *Sigh*...it all went to crap after 1995.
