  • epic!!!

  • The music is fantastic and the orchestra absolutely great. A shame that the soloist is so out of tune, makes it difficult to listen to that part. Otherwise just have to love this.

  • The Breaking of the fellowship and may it be, its the best piece of music i ever ear, its amazing, the composicion everything, great music

  • i get chills from 0.01-8.41 ! This movie wont be surpassed by any other movie ever made... The scenario , the music , the actors, the battles and generally the epicness surrounded by the name Lord of the Rings will always be number 1. At least for me :)

  • i love the lord of the rings, i have everything about it, uruk armor helm of the witch king etc. Sting... This only made me respect and admire the movies more

  • Get chills at 5:50 °o°

  • In dreams part -3

  • fucking win!

  • ill bet sauron and th nine wringwraiths have disliked the video :)

  • epic win

  • Loved the soloist. Though, she sounded really low for the song, o.o Oh well! Otherwise, everything was brilliant

  • ç_ç commovente

    febbraio 2007 milano

  • One word: EPIC!!

  • lord of the rings is the best trilogy ever

  • I much prefer the movies to the books, which is a rarity for me. To watch the scenes play before you with the beautiful score is a unique experience.

  • cool!

  • Es espectacular esta música.

  • the argonath is beautiful

  • Boah ich habe eine Gänsehaut....

    wunderschön diese Symphonie!!!

  • keine symphonie

  • this-is-the-reason-we-call-music,music

  • when i die i hope i wake up in the world of middle earth. i feel so... soo..so..

  • Dood! If someone failed to convert the file the right way it doesnt mean that the whole video is fake) I am a conductor and trust me he is showing everything like they are playing but as you said with a 1 bar latancy(or close to it). So please reconsider your -1 for this video.

  • @ZolloLord

Sometimes the video lags a bit when uploaded onto YouTube. It could be fine when the uploader plays it on his/her computer, but lags when played on Youtube.

  • wooow i love this... and we play it now with the orchester ..*-*

  • I am 52 years old. I have seen all of the great ones. Gone With The Wind, Mutiny On The Bounty, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Schindler's List, and COUNTLESS others. Movies are my passion. If I'm not working, then I am watching movies. All of the movies that I mentioned above were phenomenal, but NOTHING moved me the way "LOTR: The Fellowship of The Ring" did. Hard to explain. The music and the scenery, AND the story. Wow. The only movie that ever made me cry. And I am a guy.

  • @packthepit then read the book;-) the scenes in the film that can make u crying are described MUCH better in the books. and everything is better in those^^

  • @krattusminimus Books are always better than movies... look at the chronicles of narnia. Fairly well done... but LOTR was epic and awsome.

  • @packthepit Amen.

  • @packthepit I'm the same way man, movies are my passion, but i'm 17 and there's only one movie that has made me cry, and that's The Bucket List. TRULY inspirational movie. Don't get me wrong though, LOTR has sent chills up and down my spine.

  • @packthepit This movie opened my eyes to this wonderful world of photography and cinema, the experience of entering to the theater and suddenly I was not there in the very first second of the film, something difficult to explain, but I felt like I was inside the movie, the magic attracted me so hard, I want to know what Peter Jackson did to transmit such magic, a magic I have been waiting to feel again since that day, I´m will love these movies for the rest of my days....

  • this is amazing! i wish my tone on trumpet was that good! :) the applause was so loud you could hear it from 5 metres or so away. through my headphones.

  • uruk-hai theme song

  • 7:35 ITS A SO NICE !!

  • @ZolloLord please leave, this music is better than any of the new garbage tht has come out

  • Woe-hoe xD

  • Yah!!! I like very

  • unfortunately, either the orchestra is playing something completely different in the video than the music I hear... or it's absolutely asynchronous.

  • i think they are playing LOtR, cause when shes not singing, the orchestra are in sync....i think it might be because its a close up of her singing. but i dont know why thats happend

  • 2:20 ....what!? ar uruk-hai santas elves now?

  • 0:55 not as powerful as in the original..

  • words cannot fairly define how magnificent this is

    love and adore it.

  • I love this film and also the soundtrack of the film. And this orchestra is playing the music of my favourite film in my life amazing.

  • The Breaking of the Fellowsip <3

  • what is the name of the music at this part

  • I think it's Argonath... It's quite hard to find it on YouTube so I can't say for definite.

A beautiful piece of music nonetheless

  • 2:42

  • Die Filmmusik ist doch immer das Beste!!

  • agree =)

  • oh i love the part around second minute. it`s so EVIL!! ;-)

  • I love the part that starts on 3:35 on until it ends.

  • Anybody know what the part that starts on 2:18 and goes through 2:42 is called?

  • I think it's called Uruk-Hai.

  • is "A knife in the dark"

  • i think it was a bit quick during the uruk-hai segment, at least compared to the version heard in the movies, but otherwise i loved it.

  • I'm probably going to get some thumbs-down for this, but I didn't really like the vocalist's voice. She hit some of the notes wrong, it sounded flat at some parts, at least to me

  • Granted, But i hit the thumbs up button for some reason :P

  • I think you made a good decition to tell the world your opinion and let me say you shouldn´t care to much what others think- as long as you justify your opnion none on earth can ever say something against it! but it does show what a nice mind and character you have ^^

  • Well, thanks, then. I actually had 9 thumbs up. Hmm, well what'd you know..... ^^

  • We're playing this at my school and we used a violin to cover the vocal part XD

  • i agree with you she sucks balls.....=D

  • @KazeTeisei yah she does kinda sound odd and im a trumpet player in 8th grade and is 13 yah it must sound odd!!!

  • @KazeTeisei same for me

  • @KazeTeisei well, I think you got proved well and truly wrong

  • @Chaserpeach

Haha, apparently! But proved wrong in the right way (?)

Wow... one of the top comments. That's a surprise.... =D And I know nothing about music!

  • we're playing this in band. i LOVE the gollum and in dreams parts

  • is the "In Dreams" vocal piece available on iTunes?

I wasn't able to find it.

  • it's part of the song "a breaking of the fellowship"

  • This is verry good

3:27 till 4:00 is very beautifal

  • Her voice is awesome, especially the high notes.

  • I agree. Although she does have a bit of an accent, she sings it perfectly. Her voice is beautiful.

  • Beautiful. Howard Shore wrote it well...and this guy put them all together well. Very well done.

    Both the composers are awesome.

  • the song is so epic, like the movie, song and also the book. maybe this film is one of the best trilogy ever to be made.

btw, in the end, what language does the woman talks, sweden, finnish, german or sumthing?

  • English

  • ROFL

  • lol....english eh....

  • Yes. When the cold of winter comes Starless night will cover day In the veiling of the Sun We will walk in bitter rain But in dreams I can hear your name And in dreams We will meet again When the seas and mountains fall And we come to end of days In the dark I hear a call Calling me there I will go there And back again.
  • She certainly has a beautiful voice.

  • i thought she was talking german, maybe the accent is a bit german

  • Its a he, Lol.

    London's Boys Choir.

In the original at least =D

  • they sing elvish in one or 2 of the songs in the movies

  • Knife in the Dark is absolutely epic!

  • This can only be summed up one way...amazing. This is beautiful!

  • This makes me want to watch the movies again.

  • This film in particular changed everything for me. I do believe the music has a lot to do with the beauty of the film. IIt's so spiritual and I believe it to be the best of the trilogy. A fantastic achievement in cinema.

  • I like the part from 7:36 and a dhortcut to the mushrooms the best.

  • Wow!! Ésta música es impresionante... tanto que me gustaría recomendarla a la Orquesta Sinfónica de mi Universidad para que toquen música de "El Señor de los Anillos", sería EXCELENTE!!!

  • i'm blown away at how good they sound.

  • I didn't like the singer but the rest was great.

  • im now 16 and i thought i grew out of the lord of the rings but i havent i still love it cant wait for the hobbit films!:)

  • 2:45 is where my favorite music starts

  • A Shortcut To Mushrooms is the best =D

  • wow man i luv dis movie.dis is da best ovie i have eva seeen

  • ohhh i love everything that has to do with the lord of the rings it's perfect!!! :D the music is something extraordinary truly a masterpiece!

  • could never say it better my self^^

  • I'll just repeat what I said for the first one - It sounds EXACTLY like the soundtrack. Amazing. As for the singing, it sounds a lot different from Edward Ross (The guy who sang it for the soundtrack), but it's still amazing. And to be honest, it's the words that matter, sometimes they make me cry. =/

  • Is it a guy ho sings it for the soundtrack? Nah, i won't believe that. XD

From the soundtrack it must be a woman too, although i agree it sounds alot different from this. Soundtrack is way better.

  • Yes, it's a boy soprano singing it on the soundtrack.

  • Then it must be a different cind of soundtrack, cause i won't believe that in the soundtrack that i always hear is a guy singing it. Its just impossible. :S

  • Haha, I know it's hard to believe, but the singer is a boy soprano - this means a boy singing before his voice has dropped, so their vocal range and sound production sounds quite feminine. Boy sopranos like that are often heard singing choral music (particularly hymns). The boy in this case, Ben Del Maestro, has a Wiki page if you're interested :)

  • Most of the other vocal solos in the LOTR trilogy soundtrack are sung by female singers though

  • it is so beautyfull it make me almost cry cause it are the best movies ever made

  • Che musica bellissima... Bellissima, veramente. Avrei tanto voluto esserci, ad assistere a questa bellissima esecuzione. Magnifica, semplicemente. La musica di questo film è semplicemente spettacolare.

  • I wanna thanks to J.R.R Tolkien for this great trilogy. He made second world where medille earth is only a small place, where hope is only thing to win... He had a great imagination.

Peter Jackson, the legend, who the story from that book made fantastic movie (Trilogy) and his assistants who help him to realise it.

Wonderful, Best soundtrack, movie, storyline, just amazing.

    Sorry for my english. :)

  • that singer has a great voice. but i think the children's choir version was a little better because it sounded kinda more angelic, like LOTR was (and is) such an epic story as can be told only by angels.

  • Amazing

  • Absolutely Beautiful

  • Breathtaking.

  • Real professionals indeed. The sound produced sounds stronger and more unwavering.

  • we played thiss

  • Hrm, the singer has very good voice control. But seems a bit weird having listened to the original track so many times. I'm pretty sure they got a children's choir to do that part. Sounds very different and more emotional.

Very good job on the whole. Been watching all the LOTR vids by the same orchestra. Love it!

  • Wow, these are real professionals.

  • Very cool vid. But scratch 2 things:

    1. The woodblock on nazgul song

    2. the singing fossil

  • HOLY SPIT this version in my opinion is amazing, especially the ending, WOW, is this available on recording?i

  • one of my favorite films coz it has such a story to it no other film i have watched has come close to it an it probably has the best soundtrack. what a film!!!

  • I played this once...but not as good as this hahahhaha

  • that ladys voice is amazing

  • they are amazing!their passion just flows right through my heart..it felt as if i was in that age..A King, A Hobbit, An Elf and A Dwarf..wat magic!
