haha! Why you guys are talking about Michael Jackson here? I mean, I love MJ with all my heart and I love Radiohead with all my heart, but it's so weird when you put them in the same sentence, WOW, did i smoke something today?
Radiohead simpley the best ever band, better than michael Jackson in my opinion. I would choose him over MJ any day if I had to choose between one of their concert.

@ReilyShade1 WELL.... I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE SOUND OF HIS VOICE IN THIS SONG, NOT HIS INFLUENCES, SOUNDS LIKE COBAIN TO ME HAHAHA!!!. ABRAZO AMIGO!!!
we can see that they hail the thief, being the thief the idiot society that blind and binds everyone, suffocating the ones that try to be different!!!!!!!
i meant bad. and bland too maybe. my point is that even when we're neck deep in shit, we wish to keep on living and enjoying life because of our genetic design.
Well, no offense, but isn't it ironic to say that society ain't that bad... I mean, after all, you do come from one of the most aggressive and bloodthirsty countries in the history of the world (UK).
If you think society is not so bad, believe me, you're probably in a minority.
I see your point...but we're not living in the crusades any more. but it works both ways, I always find it a bit pretentious when people talk about society putting them down and opressing them, when its a pretty liberal society and everyone can express themselves pretty freely.
Well, UK maybe is pretty liberal and maybe celebrates differences, but my country for example isn't like that...
And I don't know... I don't think that the main problem of society is not allowing differences or anything such... I believe that the main problem is that today's society encourages robotic behavior, coldness, lack of emotion, shallowness, etc. And once again I didn't mean any disrespect earlier. I am, in fact, a big fan of UK. Just tried to say that people are often not nice.
u don´t have to compare 2 musicians to say that some one is better or worse , if u really like music u just have to enjoy it , yorke its good , and jackson has a different talent so please son stop doin´that.
@lord2313 I'm a little confused why anyone would put Thom Yorke and Michael Jackson in the same breath for comparison. I love them each on totally different planes, because they are different artists. They both have influenced the music world in different ways ... exponentially. I don't know, that's just me. :) I rarely comment, but I had to throw my pennies in the pile on this one.
@lord2313 you're a fool to compare them. of course thom's better, he creates music on an entirely different level. not to mention he's a better singer and player.
an impossible comparison i know but i commented when MJ had died and so he was again considered a "king" and stuff so i needed to lower him by making Thom Yorke occupy his rightful place as the best.
@lord2313@lord2313 you're a fool to compare them. of course thom's better, he creates music on an entirely different level. not to mention he's a better singer and player.
@lord2313 please, this account, Lord2313 has suffered a little bit of "i forgot the password and now i cannot enter" so please if you want to tell me anything report to this account, ok?
@lord2313 michael made something more distinguishable than thom. His theme was against racism and poverty in the world. Thom's theme is political and business corruption.
Out of the two themes, racism is much harder to combat, but both themes are indeed great.
@greenplastic69 Racism leads to acts of violence. Inner corruption leads to enslavement of the whole planet, with people serving a system that they hate but don't dare to change.
Corruption includes racism as a part of it, so in the greater picture Radiohead do fight against the same stuff as Jackson, but on a much greater scale. They sing for change of the whole, instead of some of our bad aspects.
Music-wise, I prefer Thom's work, although I'd listen to Michael a lot back in the day.
@KeratsiniHombre michael points out something we have control, ourselves. He provides solutions with a positive energy. Thom addresses the issue, like picking a wond with a stick. You acknowledge the problem, but you develop a callous...a light mellow feel, that becomes a drug.
(before i needed to listen to radiohead to feel better about myself.) hahah this might be irrelevant, sorry. what do you think about the energys?
@greenplastic69 Indeed, but pointing out the problem and getting to a state of awareness is what matters, to me at least. Each person has his/her own way to work around a problem.
You've got a point about the energy, but I can hardly recall what listening to Michael felt like, since I was too young back then, and lately his work has been tainted by all the negative hype, which also subtracts some of the magic. Hence, my opinion would be too subjective and rather hasty on this matter.
Go to sleep is really right at the very top of all the best rock songs that Radiohead have ever done, many of which were on The Bends. Hail to the thief does have this quite folksy tone in places - it' s like all the interesting, but slightly cold, experiments on Kid A and Amnesiac have suddenly had meat put on them
no, its just about money. there isnt some elite group of select people who control this country but rather around 50,000 who rule america very expicitley. as long as money is given to the people at the top, it will happen.
