  • The Curtis appears nicer on throttle response.  The Kelly I'm using is very abrupt, although it still is at the default throttle ramp.

  • Yes, an AC motor and yes, DC to AC converter.

    Why did I post the video? Because it was the 1st time with the A123 batteries, which was a milestone for us.

    Why test indoors? Because there are cops driving around outdoors.

    How many cell are u planning to use.

    With higher efficiency than brushed motor you should have way much more power.

    thanks :) the curtis 1238 controller is a very nice unit indeed! we hope it will bring enough current for racing... it's staying very cool so far anyway, even after 5min of hard driving.

    the target battery pack is 240 cells... which should deliver a bit more than the 30kW or so that the controller will let to the motor.

    we love your kart by the way!! :) it's great inspiration!
